Just got back late last night from a 4 day trip to Disneyland (2 adult and 3 kids 11, 13, 16). We reserved a private van through Golden West and they were very promt and courteous. We paid $75 each way from LAX. We stayed at the DLH. Reserved a standard room and got a 2nd floor room in the Sierra tower looking out to Downtown Disney. It was blocked by palm trees and other vegitation but actually made me feel like I was in Hawaii when I looked out the window which was kinda cool. The parks seemed just as crowded as they were the last 2 summers that we were there. We were on a AAA package again and the enhanced fast pass was wonderful. The fireworks were cancelled on Thursday night (after we waited 2 hours in front of the castle). We were bummed, but we had seen them last year so it was OK.
We had a great time overall (in spite of the heat) and 4 days seemed just about perfect.

Really sorry to hear you missed the fireworks this time around. They have gotten cancelled a lot lately. For others info, if you can you should plan to see them as early in your trip as possible. See "HydroGuy's Fireworks Rule" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1199851

I spent the day before going to DisneyLand jokingly saying, in my radio vote, that "Ladies and Gentlemen tonights spectacular amazing fireworks show, has been cancelled due to inclement weather. My brother said the fireworks show alone is worth admission. Well as we sat at the end of main street waiting for the fireworks the loud speaker says, "Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, tonight performance of "wishes" Disney's amazing fireworks show may be cancelled due to winds at high altitudes." My stomach dropped, fortunately the show was delayed for about 10 minutes and I did get to see the fireworks and it was an amazing show. It is a don't miss!

Glad you had a nice time. I was so happy to read 4 days was just enough, I am doing the same thing, grant you it's Christmas time when I go but either way you look at it it should be fun :sunny:
