I didn't get home until 11pm Saturday night and had to work all day yesterday! But I'm back and we had a great time. The weather was perfect and lines weren't bad at all... Everest was awesome!!! I'll write a trip report later this week, but I would be glad to answer any questions...

those fold out maps you get at the parks, can you get those when you check into your resort? we are first timers to be, and the map in my birnbaum book is not detailed, would like to see the "whole picture".

I'm glad you had a great trip! How were the crowds? And did you go to MGM at all during any part of Star Wars Weekends? We arrive on Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend and I wanted to go to MGM that day. We're not interested in any of the Star Wars activities but wanted to know if the rest of the park will be supercrowded.

As fort he maps - We stayed at Old Key West and I didn't see them - but I wasn't looking for them either. But I know for a fact they were at the front desk at the Grand Floridian.

And no, we didn't go to MGM for the Star Wars weekend. SOrry :-( But since it will be Memorial Day Weekend, I think you might assume that there will be large crowds. We didn't have any problems with crowds during our stay. Some lines reached 50-60 minutes, but we used fast pass.

yankeepenny, when we checked into the CBR two weeks ago, they had a supply of maps for all the parks, DTD, etc, at the Custom House. I think all the regular resorts do this, although apparently the DVC places may not.

We were there the same week and agree with the OP! Weather was great and lines were fine. Longest I saw was Splash on sat 5-20 was 50 minutes...we used FP!

We didn't use photopass... but we did go on Soarin - twice! DH and I actually went on it in Disneyland a few years ago. We loved it! Definitely use Fast pass though

How'd you do AK? (Everest). Did you go on an EMH morning or a regular one? Did you beeline for Everest? I'm trying to work out a plan for AK now that Everest is in the picture. Thanks!

We went to AK last Tuesday morning after breakfast at Kona Cafe. We didn't rush in. We got fast pass for about 2 1/2 hours later. So we went on Dinosaur, did some shopping and walked around. It was crowded more than the other parks in my opinion...most major attractions - including everest- had waits of 50-70 minutes by noon. Definitely go on EE, you'll never experience anything like it!
