The DDP was a big hit with my family. We noticed on our last trip that the kids (12, 14, and 16 now) didn't want souvenirs--just food. Since we like to have a sit-down meal at night, we thought we'd try the DDP. With the tips, we probably spent about the same amount of $, but we got a lot more food. It was also great not to have to worry about what we ordered and to not have to whip out the wallet every time we ate/got a snack. It was also nice to have our own snacks--with a family of 5, when we were thirsty we used to share drinks. We couldn't see paying $12.50+ just for us all to have a drink. Here's where we had TS: O'Hana-our new favorite. Everything about it was great. LTT-this was just ok. We had eaten there before, and I remembered it being better. The food just didn't taste that good. It literally is Stauffer's (red box) stuffing and mac & cheese. Teppan Edo-great! We go there every trip. Le Cellier: wonderful food, but the kids got antsy there. I think it's something about the close tables. My daughter (12)tends to not eat much when she has a smoothie as her drink. Les Chefs de France: Great food/service. 50's Prime Time: Big disappointment. We've been there several times with great experiences. The food tasted good, but the service was awful. Also, there was nothing fun about it, which is why we like it there. I can make pot roast at home. Again, the kids picked at their food because they had floats for their drinks. Well, I'm a teacher--back for the first day after spring break. The bell's about to ring. I guess it's back to reality.
Your decision to be on the DDP was right-on-par. Didn't it make your vacation much easier not having to worry about the price of the entrees? Before we were addicted to the DDP(now we only do Deluxe DP), we would racked up hundreds of dollar on food alone.
Our spring break doesn't start until Good Friday. I love the ddp, it saved me lots of figuring and when I am on vacation, I don't want to over load my brain Thanks for the great review...hope you had a great first day back

Thank you! My students were very excited to see me. I am a special ed teacher with young students. They're going to love the Mickey shirt I have on today. I'm having a hard time letting the Disney vacation go. I sure missed the dining plan yesterday when I ate my packed sandwich. I totally agree with avoiding brain overload on vacation!
