We just returned from a trip to WDW. We originally planned to stay from 12/16 thru 12/18, but we loved the CSR Soooooo much we extended our stay there for one more night then moved over to the ASMusic for another night for financial reasons. What a difference in hotels. We stayed in CSR room 9103 (only smoking bldg 9A). The room was fantastic. I enjoyed it much more than our recent trip to the Swan. The quiet pool was just steps from our door. Transportation was conveniently located. Only drawback was that you had quite a walk from the pool to the marina to check out a lifejacket for the kiddie. The grounds were spectacular and the walk was enjoyable. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Service was outstanding. The staff was wonderful from the minute we stepped out of our vehicle to the last day of our stay. They treat the kids extra special too. Before we even got to our room my son had a fist full of stickers, a balloon and ride on one of the golf carts. Room service was reasonably priced and the food was good. The room was a good size and comfortable in every aspect. I didn't want to leave !
Our one night stay at All Star Music was an entirely different story. The beds were horrible. The room was filthy. The bedspreads had stains on them. I found food between the blanket and the stained bedspread when I removed it. The staff was just short of being rude. Totally unsympathetic to my disability. When I said I would have a problem carting the bags to our third floor room, the CM looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language and never offered to get me any help. The food court was packed and the lines were terrible. I will never stay at ASMusic again. We didn't even bother to check out the pools. Couldn't wait to check out.
We did learn one very valuable lesson. When booking a room at Disney it pays to upgrade to a better hotel if for nothing else than the impeccable service. We are now CSR people. From now on we will try for this hotel first.
