We just got back from a fabulous week at WDW! Stayed at the Swan for the $99 teacher rate. Requested and received a balcony room. Saw some bonus fireworks at MGM from our balcony. The only bad thing I'll say about the Swan/Dolphin is about Tubbi's. That has got to be the nastiest, most over-priced quasi cafeteria I've ever seen. We ate breakfast there one morning instead of walking over to the Boardwalk bakery. HUGE MISTAKE!!!!!
We did lunch at Hollywood and Vine - excellent.
Dinner at Cape May Buffet - excellent
Dinner at Chef Mickey's - well, the kids loved it. It was ok.
We ate off-site at TGIF's twice. I have to say they were pretty good. Very good by TGIF standards.
Did WDW all but one day, which we spent at Universal. Had a great time there.
The only crowds we encountered was Friday at Magic Kingdom. Used Fastpass for Space Mt.and Big Thunder. We did the going left idea and it worked well for avoiding a lot of crowds. Some parts of MK were much more crowded than others (Fantasyland, Future World)
Ate at Peco Bill's. Not too bad.
Did MGM on Thursday. Didn't need FP for anything.
Did AK on Sat. Only needed FP for safari ride.
Did Epcot a couple of evenings. Saved the day trip there for the last day of our trip.
All I'll say about that is.... boy are they good with vomiting little girls! Yup, our 7 year-old DD caught some nasty stomach thing. So, I missed I Shrunk the Audience. She and I went back to the Swan while DH and DD (9) finished up at Epcot.
