Here are my reviews (we stayed at BWV on dining plan):
Day 1 Lunch at Beaches & Cream (BC). We got there early and sat at counter. We chose it as everybody raves about burger ... I wish it had been remarkable - no taste. My DH enjoyed his hot dog. Grade B-
Day 1 Dinner at Columbia House (MK). We rushed around in the dark after they lit the castle at 5:45. We ran to Tomorrowland first but lines were too long for rides, and we checked Ray's and the salad/sand bar was closed. Since we had burger/dog at dinner we bailed and ran across park to Columbia House before it closed at 7 (an hour before park closed!!!!- why?!?) we just made it. I had the salad with chicken and nuts - very good and very big. DH had tuna sandwich/chili combo - he loved the tuna but said the chili was too spicy. They were cleaning up around us to close down as we ate - not relaxing. Grade: B+
Day 2 Breakfast at Spoodles (BW). We had an ADR. This is only place for full breakfast at BW. I was hoping for special and I was let down. I thought the scrambled eggs could have been better, french toast only ok. My husband was happy and would have liked to go back. My grade B-, DH A
Day 2 Lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express (DTD) Loved the choices and the food here. We split the Roast beef/gorgonzola pocket and a fruit cup. Grade A
Day 2 Dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse (YC) This is one of our favorite places. We both had the filet and it was cooked perfectly, but mashed potatoes were boring. I had the seafood salad, very tasty. DH had tomato salad and he felt it was tasteless - why can't you get a good tomato anywhere any more!!! The service was slow but we were not in a hurry, our server explained that there were kitchen issues ... no excuse. They probably lost an entire seating that night ... We split creme brulee for dessert - yum.
Grade Food B+, Steak A+, Service A, Kitchen F
Day 3 Lunch at Ray's Starlight (MK) I had a chicken sandwich which was good. DH had hamburger - okay. Hard to find a table. Toppings bar was good. Grade B
Day 3 Dinner at Big River Grille (BW) This was the only walk-in close to BWV on a misty night. The servings were huge, boring mashed potatoes again. I had Hazelnut chicken and husband had meatlaof. Grade B
Day 4 Lunch at Patisserie (EP)
Closest walk from BWV for a counter lunch besides England Fish and chips. I had the ham and cheese croissant heated - OMG, so good! MY DH's was the same sandwich cold - very good. Napolean and eclair for dessert. Grade A+ for food Grade F for guilt about the calories
Day 4 Beer at ESPN (BW)
Dining Plan at BW- It is hard to find good/any counter service in the Boardwalk area unless you have parkhoppers and are willing to go to Epcot just to eat and that is lunch and dinner. Breakfast - forget it. We actually came home with 1 CS left.
