I just returned last night from 10 wonderful days at my favorite resort. We had our requested room in Rarotonga. We've never had any problems with this building and love the location. Pool was very enjoyable as usual. I did actually see pool hoppers evicted. I didn't realize they were hoppers but my oldest DD noticed them looking "weird" as she put it! LOL! She thought they were casing the place to steal valuables and went on guard watching over her stuff. Anyway they were lounging away when a CM came over and spoke to one of them. They were not staying at the Poly but did have a resort ID card for another WDW resort. They were promptly told to leave. I have no idea what other resort they were staying. The weather was perfect with low to mid 80s and NO rain at all. Parks were very crowded compared to the past 3 Octobers. It was a mob scene at MK all the time! I had a long discussion with the Fairy Godmother at CRT. She was all by herself in her throne and is so nice and chatty! She too was commenting on the crowds this time of year. She said even the other characters there thought the crowds were huge but a blessing to them all. Anyway we had a wonderful time and hated to come home. Any questions please ask! I will be here planning my next trip in 185 days! So many days, so little time! :D

Sounds like a great trip! Where did you stay? Our family of 2 adults, and 2 DSs ages 2 and 41/2 will be there early December. I was thinking Samoa or Tokelau. We are only GV though. Also, did you do anything fun around the resort besides the pool?

We were in the Raratonga longhouse. We always chose that one as it is right next to the GCH and convenient to the monorail and Captain Cooks. We also only get GV so we ask and get monorail view. It is great to be able to look out and see the monorail whizzing by. The only activities we do at the Poly are the beach and the pool and of course the restaurants. We love to watch the fireworks and water parade from the beach. This trip we got to see the new Wishes fireworks 4 times! Twice from the beach and twice at the MK. They are unbelievable and so much better then the other fireworks. They are HUGE and easily enjoyed from the beach. We also rented watermice this trip and had fun with them. They are not fast but it was neat to drive to the MK and get good pictures from that angle. You will have a wonderful time at the Poly. We are going back again in April and can't wait!:D

Skiwee1,

Sounds like you had a great time. We're checking into the Poly for our 16th time on Nov 7 (hopefully). Did you notice if Tuvalu had gone down for rehab yet? It was supposed to go down last week, I had been looking to get our LV room in this longhouse. If this longhouse goes down we have no option for a smoking LV room. According to Tikiman's site it was jusr rehabbed on Oct '01.
