The Not So Scary Murphy Family Vacation!!! :)

Day One – 10/27/02

Cast – Myself, dh, ds (3 years old), and ds (16 months old)

Flight, YourRide, Old Key West, Magic Kingdom, Olivia’s

Our journey begins with an early morning flight out of Indy. Everything went smoothly at the airport, but I wish I could say the same about our flight. My 16-month-old son spent the better part of two hours screaming in pain from the pressure in his ears. :( I gave him a decongestant and pain reliever before we left, but it didn’t seem to do any good. I felt every eye on the plane bore into the back of my head as I tried everything I knew to get him to be quiet… sippy cup, pacifier, crackers, cookies, toys, books, nothing worked. The lady sitting across the aisle kindly offered him a piece of gum, but I informed her that most one year olds don’t chew gum. Duh! ;)

We arrived in Orlando in the late morning and the sun was shining brightly. We were all dressed in winter clothes but we didn’t want to stop and change, we decided to wait until we arrived at Old Key West. Our fellow DIS’er “Rabbit” met us at the baggage claim with a smiling face and terrific personality. Previously we have used Happy Limo, Florida Town Car, and Tiffany, but I can definitely say that YourRide was the BEST car service we’ve ever used. :) He picked us up in a brand new Ford Excursion, which allowed plenty of room for all our luggage and B.S.E. (baby support equipment). Monsters Inc. was playing on the TV, which thrilled our 3 year old and started our vacation off perfectly. :) I really can’t say enough about Rabbit… he gave us a long grocery stop at Publix, handled all our luggage, and kept us entertained with funny stories and interesting information. We will DEFINITELY be using YourRide for all our future trips to Disney.

We arrived at Old Key West and as soon as we pulled in the gate I relaxed. I really love this resort. DH and I both agree that it makes us feel like we’re really “away” from it all. It doesn’t even feel like Orlando…. More like Key West! ;) We had made a couple of room requests on our reservation (building with an elevator, villa on the third floor) and also faxed them in a few days prior but it didn’t seem to make any difference. :( According to the CM who checked us in the entire resort was full and they couldn’t honor our requests. We were a little upset, but there was nothing we could do. They said it should be ready around 4 pm so we decided to buy our AP’s and go to the Magic Kingdom for the afternoon.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived because the park was half empty and there was no wait for any ride. We walked right onto Buzz, Pooh, Dumbo, Pirates, etc. and had a great afternoon. :) After that we went back to Old Key West and to our villa (building 13, 2nd floor), with an open mind and tired feet! It wasn’t easy lugging a baby and a toddler up the stairs along with the double stroller and diaper bag, but we didn’t want it to ruin our trip, so we grinned and bared it. Our two-bedroom villa was beautiful. There is no way to describe how enormous these units are unless you see them with your own eyes. We love the full kitchen, huge living room, dining room, porch, laundry room, Jacuzzi, etc, etc, I could go on and on. You just have to see them for yourself to believe it. :)

Our first PS was dinner at Olivia’s. We had heard great things about the restaurant and we were starving! I hate to say that our experience there was not great. :( Our waitress was incredibly slow and was missing through most of our meal. We saw her a total of 3 times… when we ordered, when she brought the food, and when she brought the check. She never checked on us or brought drink refills. It was bad. The food however was pretty good. I had the penne with chicken and dh had the prime rib. Not the best meal we’ve had at Disney, but not the worst. I would eat there again, but hope for better service.

Nighttime at OKW is so wonderful. We can put the boys to bed in their own room and then roam around the rest of the villa as long as we want. We can eat, drink, do laundry, fire up the Jacuzzi, watch TV, sit on the porch, paint my toenails, ANYTHING!!! It's great, we don’t have to worry about disturbing the kids. What could be better than that?? Most nights we were so tired we went to bed shortly after they did, but it was still nice to have some privacy and freedom. ;)

Day Two – 10/28/02

MGM Studios, Pizza Planet, Epcot, San Angel Inn

I wore my LGR (lime green ribbon) everyday but only met one group of DIS’er. They were waiting for the bus at OKW when I spotted their lime green. It was Popie and family. I think he said they had a group of 13 total. They were super nice and we talked while waiting for the bus. :) We ran into them again waiting for the bus on Halloween. It was neat to finally meet someone from the board. After that we headed to MGM. I’m not going to bore you with a play by play of every ride we went on because you guys all know the rides as well as I do. But I will say that we never waited in line more than 5 minutes for anything until the following weekend, which I’ll get to later. The only time we used Fast Pass was for TOT and RNR, but the lines really weren’t bad. I am so spoiled now I don’t think I could wait in line ever again. (More on that later) Oh, and I was happy to see my favorite CM, TJ, still working the Tower of Terror. :) He is just the BEST! Sometimes I wonder if he’s acting or not. ;) He's just TOO good. :)

We saw so many characters on this trip it was unbelievable!!! Disney must have tripled the usual amount because they were everywhere. I can’t think of a character that we DIDN’T see at least 3 times during the week. Heck, who needs a character meal??? ;) My boys especially love Toy Story, Monsters Inc, and Lilo and Stitch, and we saw all of them on our first day at MGM, along with many others. :)

Pizza Planet for lunch was good, as usual. It’s cheap, fast, and the kids love it. Soon after that we were back in the room for the boys to nap. They usually slept about 2-3 hours every afternoon, which is very unusual for our 3 year old. I think they just wear themselves out physically and mentally at WDW. Heck, so do I!! :) ;)

That night we hit Epcot and San Angel Inn for dinner. DH and I had a few Margaritas, which were delicious, and the food was good also. The nacho appetizer was especially yummy. We enjoy the atmosphere there, and the boys like it too. After dinner we caught the Tapestry of Nations parade and checked out the Food and Wine Festival, which all looked great but we were too stuffed to eat any of it. We left before Illuminations started because we knew the boys wouldn’t like it, but we saw part of it from the bus stop.

Oh, while I’m on the top of the “bus” let me vent. Why can’t the Hospitality House be the first stop coming into OKW? Doesn’t that make sense? Well, since it’s the last stop we had to either ride around OKW for 12 minutes or get off at the first stop, Peninsular Road. We chose to get off at the first stop and walk to building 13, and I’ll tell ya… when you’ve been walking all day you don’t want a long walk back to your villa plus lugging 2 kids, a stroller, and a diaper bag up a flight of stairs, but we did it.

Day Three – 10/29/02

Animal Kingdom, Restaurantasaurus, House of Blues, DTD

This day kinda got messed up because we were supposed to go to Breakfastasaurus but overslept, so we skipped it. Animal Kingdom was fun…. Did the safari, had cinnamon rolls at Tusker House, did Dinoland, rode the rapids, ate at Restaurantasaurus for lunch, then headed back to OKW to rest. We really enjoyed our afternoons at the resort while the boys napped. It gave us a chance to relax. We'd take turns running down to the "suitcase" for drinks. ;)

That night we took the boat from OKW to DTD and had dinner at the House of Blues. I was surprised how good the food was, DH and I both had the shrimp po’boy, and it was nice not worrying about the boys being loud… the music was louder than they were! :) After dinner we hit the shops, Lego land, Ghiardelli, and had a nice relaxing evening.

Day Four – 10/30/02

Magic Kingdom, Columbia Harbor House, MGM, Boardwalk, ESPN

Another easy park day. No crowds, no lines. We started in Adventureland working our way around the park. When we came to Fantasyland there was a sign saying not to enter unless you were willing to be on TV or something. We had no idea what was going on, we guessed maybe they were filming a commercial or something, so we headed in. The rest was like a dream… something you’d see in a movie, or read about… as I rounded the corner near Peter Pan’s Flight I saw the most amazing site of my life! :) At first I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me… Red…. Yellow…. Purple… Blue…… could it be??? No, it can’t be!!!!! But it WAS!!!!! :) :) :) It was THE WIGGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) My heart stopped beating, my eyes widened; all I could do was squeal with delight!!!! :) A cast member walked over to me and said “Oh, I see you like The Wiggles”… I couldn’t even speak… my whole body was tingling… I can’t even tell you how excited I was. :) I just started jumping up and down…. I RAN to where they were, pulled out my camera and used an entire roll of film! :) I screamed, I waved; I made a total fool out of myself! :) My dh was so disgusted he left me standing there. I never left the ropes until The Wiggles had made their way out of the park. What LUCK! :) WOOHOOO!!! I was walking on a cloud for the rest of the day. I can’t WAIT to have my film developed and I’ll post them all for you guys. (Don’t hate me JTB!) ;)

OK, back to reality, well semi-reality. We had lunch at Columbia Harbor House, the food was OK, and then we headed back to OKW. We had a babysitter that evening and night so dh and I hit the adult rides at MGM, rode RNR 3 times, took the boat to the Swan and drank our way around the Boardwalk. It was fun. Great nachos and mudslides at ESPN! DH was happy because the Celtics and Bruins were on. ;)

Day Five – Halloween

Epcot, Electric Umbrella, Cinderella’s Royal Table, MNSSHP

We decided to start the day at Epcot hoping it would be the least busy park, and it was. We were also on a pin mission for dh’s Mom. We were able to get all 3 Epcot Halloween pins easily, two from the pin station and one from Mousegear. We had lunch at the Electric Umbrella, fast and cheap, and then headed back to OKW to rest for our big night at MNSSHP. The boys dressed as Buzz Lightyear and a Little Green Man. :) They were so cute. :) I wore an orange t-shirt that said This Is My Costume, and dh didn’t dress up. We got to the bus stop around 4:00 and waited over 30 minutes for the bus to arrive. Luckily our PS wasn’t until 5:45 so we weren’t late. We had a wonderful dinner at Cindy’s…. I had the salmon, and dh had the beef tenderloin. Both were delicious and we agreed it was our best meal of the trip. We finished around 6:50, just in time for the party. :)

First we had our picture taken over by the Hall of Presidents. The line wasn’t too bad, and I’m hoping we’ll actually get the correct picture in the mail! Ha ha ha ;) We did some trick-or-treating, but the lines were really long for candy. (Not to mention that most of the candy was lame) We rode Thunder Mountain, Jungle Cruise, and Buzz, but that was about it. The show in front of the castle was great, and the fireworks were also good. :) They shot them off all around the park in a circle over our heads… very cool. ;) The boys had fun and lasted until about 10:30, thanks to long naps that afternoon. It was a good night, but really crowded.

Day Six – 11/01/02

YC, Yacht Club Galley, MGM, Hollywood and Vine, Fantasmic

We woke up early and packed up everything we could. We left our pumpkin lights, and other Halloween decorations, there just wasn’t any room left in our bags. As it was we had about 5 bags of groceries we didn’t know what to do with. We knew that going from a 2 bedroom villa to a standard room at the YC would require throwing away some of it. DH went over to YC around 10 am and surprisingly our room was ready. :) When the OKW bellman came to collect our luggage he offered to take my youngest son and I over to YC to meet dh, which was AWESOME! :) It saved us from having to call a cab because we had all the groceries we wanted to bring with us. He was a really nice guy and made about 10 trips up and down the stairs with all our stuff. That has to be the hardest job at Disney. I don’t think he had a dry thread on him.

Yacht Club is beautiful. :) The renovations are more than renovations, it seems like a new hotel. New carpet, paint, wallpaper, furniture, bedding, everything was new and fresh. We were in room 4140, 4th floor, 2 doors down from the elevator, 2 queens and a daybed, overlooking the front of the resort, which was fine with us. Actually, the CM checked for upgrades but none were available. DH said she was very nice and helpful. He didn’t even ask for an upgrade, she checked on her own. I didn’t see any signs of refurbishment at YC, but I did see some scaffolding near Beach Club and a blocked off area at Stormalong Bay. I would assume that YC is now complete. We were very pleased with the resort and I think it’s just as nice as the GF, maybe even better now that everything is new. We had lunch at the Yacht Club Galley, which was delicious! DH had the open face mushroom ravioli and I had the club sandwich. I love that cheese bread they serve... ours was still warm. Yum!!!! :)

We headed to MGM by boat and caught the Stars in Motorcars Parade. Then it was on to Hollywood and Vine for the Fantasmic dinner package. The buffet was fine… nothing great… but we wanted to get the reserved seating. After dinner we took our time going to the show… we got there around 6:30 and I was disappointed to see the reserved seating was way over on the side. :( We could have had better seats if we would have come in the main entrance. Very disappointing, but the show was great. :) On our way out a little girl grabbed me by the hand and was crying. She had lost her mother and sister. I walked her over to a security guard but he didn’t seem to know what to do… I asked him if they could announce something and he just stood there like an idiot. So I talked to the girl and tried to calm her down. She looked like she was about 7 years old and she knew her Mom’s cell #… but when I dialed it from my cell she didn’t answer. :( By this time we were worrying we’d miss the last boat to the YC, and the little girl was in a panic. Luckily we found her mother shortly after that. (Who, by the way, didn’t say Thank You or anything to us)

Day Seven – 11/02/02

Magic Kingdom, Cosmic Ray’s, El Pirata y el Perico, Spectromagic

We did every ride in Fantasyland during the first 30 minutes the park was open. :) It was wonderful not having big crowds. We had lunch at Cosmic Ray’s, fast and cheap, and then went back to YC for naps. I did some shopping at Fittings and Fairings… they have some really cute YC shirts, and walked over to BCV to tour the model. WOW! Those 2 bedroom villas are so small compared to OKW. I couldn’t believe it. I don’t think we’d ever stay there, and it definitely made up my mind that if we ever buy DVC we’ll do an OKW resale. They must be about double the square footage. :) I just love it there!!! :)

We had a PS to eat at O’hana but overslept so we grabbed at quick dinner at El Pirata y el Perico before Spectromagic and the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks. DH and I decided that since we spent so much time at MK we’ll definitely stay at the GF next spring. It’s not that we didn’t enjoy YC, but our kids love MK so it makes sense to be on the monorail. Next Thanksgiving we might try the Poly if the renovations are done. Or maybe OKW again.

Day Eight – 11/03/02

Animal Kingdom, Restaurantasaurus, Cape May Clambake, DTD

Started the day off at AK and WOW where did all the people come from??? The park was packed and we were miserable. After lunch at Restaurantasaurus (my 3 year old’s favorite) we went back to YC to escape the madness. Later we found out it was “Jersey Week” but I didn’t know that the whole state of New Jersey came to WDW at the same time!! What a nightmare. We had dinner at Cape May, which was disappointing, but I’m glad we tried it because we have always wondered. The food was so-so and I think I’ve decided to stay away from buffets from now on. I do have to admit that they had the BEST desserts though. :) I think I ate my $30 worth in chocolate mousse cake! ;)

After dinner it was back to DTD for shopping. I have a MAJOR vent about the bus system. WHY do they combine Swan, Dolphin, YC, BC, and BW all on the same bus??? 5 deluxe resorts sharing one bus????? I don’t understand the reasoning behind it. Getting to MK, AK, and DTD from YC was terrible… we would make 5-6 stops if you include stopping for Blizzard Beach on the way to AK. It really almost ruined the last 2 nights of our trip because with all the Jersey people it was just too crowded. Many people had to stand, and some people couldn’t even get on and had to wait for the next bus! Insane! :( It seems that Disney wasn't prepared very well for this rush of people.

Day Nine – 11/04/02

Epcot, GF Pontoon boat rental, GF Café, Stormalong Bay, O’hana

After our crowded day at AK we decided to start with Epcot knowing it wouldn’t be crowded. After doing a few things there the boys were begging for MK so we hopped on the monorail. As the monorail passed through the Contemporary we could see the crowds. It was unbelievable. People were backed up from the entrance, back through security tents and down near the boat launches. We didn’t even bother trying to fight that mess so we headed for the GF. We decided to rent a pontoon boat and relax out on the lagoon. It was a perfect idea. :) The boys really enjoyed it, and so did dh and I. :) We had never seen the monorail resorts from that angle. It was neat. After that we had lunch at the GF Café, one of my favorites, and then headed back to the YC (not an easy task). We spent the afternoon at Stormalong Bay, our first time, and enjoyed it. I didn’t really like all the sand everywhere, but my 3 year old loved it. It was crowded, lots of Jersey accents, but luckily there was plenty of room for everyone. It’s a nice big pool area, but I wouldn’t call it a water park like some people do. It’s just a big pool with lots of sand. ;)

We left YC an hour before our PS at O’hana but we were 5 minutes late. That darn bus transportation!!! We waited about 20 minutes for the bus, went to MK, and took the monorail to the Poly. I feel like too much of my vacation time is spent trying to GET somewhere. :( It’s just really frustrating to wait for buses and then when they finally come they have to make tons of stops to all these other resorts. :(

Dinner at O’hana was wonderful. :) A perfect “last meal” for our trip. The food is so good, and the atmosphere is really fun for the kids. Even my 16 month old had fun… he was dancing in his highchair when they played Hacuna Matata and Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride. :) I had the drink called “Sand in my Pants”… it’s half Pina Colada and half Strawberry Daiquiri. Yummmm! :) The salad, the wontons, the wings, the meats and shrimp, everything was delicious and we left the restaurant happy and full. :)Unfortunately that happy feeling left when we attempted to take a bus from the Poly to DTD. There was a HUGE line of people waiting and when the bus came it was already half full. I think this “Jersey Week” is about as bad as I’ve ever seen the crowds. I’ll make a mental note never to go down during that time again, and luckily our trip was over. Once we crammed on the bus like sardines we headed to the GF only to find an angry mob that had been waiting for a bus to DTD that was already full. I don’t blame those people one bit because they are paying top dollar for their resort and can’t even get a bus! The ride to DTD was a nightmare, my youngest ds was in my lap and kicked the lady standing in front of us the whole way… I’m sure she’ll be black and blue by morning! When we finally got to DTD there was another mob of people waiting for the Swan/Dolphin/YC/BC/BW bus! Can you believe how insane that is?? Couldn’t they add another bus??? I was fuming. :( By the time we got back to YC we had spent over 2 hours on Disney transportation. On the elevator ride up to the 4th floor I said to myself that I’d never come back to Disney again unless I had a personal limo to drive me everywhere! HA! ;) Luckily, all of that anger quickly melted away when I opened the door to our room and found all the special treats the mousekeeper had left for us. She had arranged all of our son’s toys, left little towel animals on both beds and the daybed. Also in the bathroom! She really went all out. I guess tipping twice a day really paid off in the end. The boys were thrilled and it ended our trip on a happy note after a terrible night on the bus. :)

Well, I guess that’s about it. We flew home today. If anybody has any questions about OKW, YC, the parks, our meals, etc, just let me know. I’ll have tons of pictures soon to share with you. It’s good to be home, but I’m already planning our next trip in the back of my mind! April can’t come fast enough. :)

Sounds like a fabulous trip. I didn't have time to read all of it, but we will be there in January with my 3year old daughter and 18 month old son and staying at OKW in a 2 bedroom with my parents. It was great to hear your feedback. I may have questions later!!

Thanks for the great trip report. You have me really looking forward to our first stay at OKW 2 bedroom with a night at the YC. I am glad to know that the hospitality house is not the first stop on the bus route. It doesn't make sense to me either.

Sounds like a fun trip! Sorry I missed you at the Halloween Party...I think I did see you though. I saw a dark haired young woman with an orange Tshirt that said "this is my costume." Of course there could've been more than one.

I agree about the crowds beginning last weekend...Whew! The people were pouring in AKL. I was glad we were leaving there as it was elbow to elbow at Mara!

Thanks for sharing!

I do admit .....sometimes it is hard to have seven great days out of seven.....but we sure can try......right???? We sure did enjoy the breakfast at AK too......

It was probably me! :) I also had on black knit pants with pumpkins all over them, my hair up in a ponytail with lime green ribbons, and these funny antenna things on my head that dh and I bought at Universal last year. :) I was also pushing a giant double stroller! ;) My youngest ds, the one who dressed as an LGM, got the most comments. He looked really cute. :)

If it was you, I remember thinking that you looked as tired as I felt! No offense!;) It may not have been you though, because I think (I could be wrong though) that it was at the MK bus stops...AKL stop is right next to OKW stop....but we stayed until the end of the party and you said you guys left around 10:30. I dunno, I could've seen ya somewhere else though.

Yeah, we left around 10:30. The kids were starting to get cranky. I did see about 3 other people with the same shirt on. ;)

In June, 2001, we stayed at the Swan and we really LOVED the hotel! Our stay was perfect! Walking to Epcot was great - and it was a nice walk to/from MGM. Bus service wasn't too bad - but since the Swan is the first stop (which can be good because you know you'll get a seat), then we went to the Dolphin, Yacht Club, Beach Club and Board Walk. I didn't really understand why FIVE hotels share a bus! Sometimes we were really jammed in the bus! Hopefully, they can work on that! (We've stayed at the All Star Movies twice, and I think they have the best bus service!!!)

There is a method to our madness, I assure you. :) All theme park busses go to Hospitality House last so that folks within the resort have a way to get there. They can simply hop on any theme park bus, use it as an internal shuttle, and get to the HH. From the HH, they hop on the DTD bus to get back. The DTD bus is the only bus that stops at the HH first. (As Internal Resort Shuttle)

Disney usually puts main stops as the last so that the bus can pick up all the smaller stops first, and then get to the main stop. It's like this at Coronado and Port Orleans as well, and we've found it to work quite well.

It really all depends on the demand. This is our slow season. (And if you think this is busy... come back during the summer, Christmas week, or Easter week.)

In the mornings... MOD busses typically run S/D/BW, and Y/B/BW... Post 11am, when Flex goes up... things return to normal routing.

Typically, during our normal and peak seasons, the MK will seperate S/D and Y/B/BW. I know once the slow season hit us in Sept, they combined them... however, I beleive they recently re-split them a week or two ago now that the holiday season is upon us.

Downtown Disney separates the Boardwalk from the other 4 between 6:30pm-11:30pm, nightly.

I'm curious as to why you had to stop 6 times to get to your destination? If you were staying at the YC... for DAK, you'd stop at BC (1), BW (2), and BB (3) before you got to DAK...

I'm sorry to sound dumb, but what is a...... Wiggle?

Great Trip Report!

Two questions for you:
1.What is the "suitcase" (where you got drinks)?
2. Who did you use for a babysitter and how much did it cost and would you recommend them?

Thanks!

Thanks for a great report!! I am glad you had a great trip and I am so happy that you got to see the Wiggles!!!

When we were at the BWI we were so annoyed at having to share a bus with all the resorts around the lake. I can understand, kind of, the reason for sharing between BW, YC/BC, but why with the Swan/Dolphin too? Even when we were at the GF it was annoying having to share buses with WL and the Poly. I really feel the Deluxes should each have their own bus. CSR was the best bus system we had, they don't share with the other resorts, it was great! Sometimes because of the sharing, the bus gets so cramped and most bus drivers just kept piling more people in when there wasn't any room for those already on! It can get dangerous with the way some of them drive(sometimes so fast on turns) with a bus full to the seems with people. It can get very fustrating, but after driving down from NY we rarely like to drive anywhere while there. I guess we just have to deal!
Sorry to go on and on:rolleyes:
Thanks for the report. After our stay in Jan at GF, we want to try the YC in Nov. Glad to hear the renovations make the resort feel new, can't wait to try it!

Thanks for the trip report. Sounds like you all had a great time.

You've got me worried though. We leave tomorrow. I'm so excited but now a little bummed because of what you said about the crowds. I knew it was Jersey week and "soaps" weekend but I didn't think it would be that crowded. It sounds like it is as crowded as it is in the summer. Fortunately we have a car - Wouldn't do Disney without one. I hate the buses - it seems like all you do is wait for a crowded bus to come. I'm glad to hear you liked the YC - this will be our first time staying there and I am really excited.

Magic2000 - I totally agree with you! We had much better/faster/easier bus transportation for the All Star Music and from CBR. It's really a shame that deluxe resorts can't have that also.

chip n' dale express - Maybe they could stop at the HH twice? Once on the way in and once on the way out?? Just an idea. Also, They were still combining all 5 resorts during our trip, 10/27 - 11/05. It really wasn't a big problem until the weekend came and the crowds picked up. Sunday and Monday were really terrible. Oh, and I didn't mean "I" stopped 6 times, I just meant the bus stopped 6 times. Luckily I only had to suffer 3 of the 6. ;)

leahannpen - The Wiggles are a singing group from Austrailia. :)

Ctillberg - The Gurgling Suitcase is the bar/lounge. :) Our babysitter was my husband's mother, I've actually never used one of the Disney babysitters.

rugratsmom66 - Sorry to worry you. :) I'm sure you'll have a great time. Just get to the parks early, take advantage of early entry days, and use the fast pass system! :)

Keep in mind that the All-Stars have 6,000 rooms between all 3... so, they're going to have considerably more busses.

Also, CBR... a highly populated resort with 7 stops.

Although it might not seem it... the Epcot Resorts are not typically busy routes for the majority of the day... the only time they perk up is during peak times. All-Stars are steady throughout the day.

As a driver... I can assure that would be a nightmare for us. If we go in with "MAGIC KINGDOM" on the sign for both times... we'll get people complaining "Why are we going back here? Why the additional stop???" If I put "SPECIAL" up on my destination sign, I'll get folks asking if I'm a MK bus. When I come back, and I'm the bus that picks them up, I'll get chewed out for "lying" to them... (*sigh* yes... this does happen... I've done it before in OKW and other resorts.)

I think next time we'll just request a building near Pennisular Road. That should solve the OKW problem. As for YC, we started getting off at the Swan and walking over, or taking the Boardwalk bus back from DTD and then the boat to YC. I'm the type of person that would rather keep moving than sit around waiting. ;)

Loved your trip report and can't wait to see your pictures. Sounds like you had a great time.:D
