Just wanted to share our dining experiences, good and not so good—

Restaurant Marrakesh: DH really likes this place. He had chicken kebabs and I had shish kebabs. Both were good, but I think my steak was better than the chicken. Service was very good.

Yachtsman Steakhouse: So good, we went there twice ☺️ The prime rib was amazing, as was the lobster and rib eye steak. This will now be a must-do for us.

Ale & Compass: Good, but the best thing we had was the Lobster Chowder. If we go back, I’ll probably just order the soup and some bread. BTW, I think it’s a bit much to charge $12 for dinner rolls and try to sell it as an appetizer.

Skippers Canteen: Pleasantly surprised. We were in the main dining hall, which was loud and filled with a bunch of cranky kids. But the Tastes Like Chicken Cause It Is helped make up for the noise—big piece of moist, perfectly cooked chicken along with tasty rice. We’ll go here again.

Tiffins: Expensive and we left hungry. Sever was very attentive, but the place was fairly empty. We probably won’t go back.

Chefs de France: One of my favorites— love their macaroni and cheese. DH had the duck and said it was very good. Good food, good service, this one stays on my must-do list.

Paradiso 37: Seems to be a good place for appetizers and drinks. My dinner was cold—the kitchen seemed to be out of sync on the orders.

Overall, we had some good dining experiences. Prices seemed a lot higher than our last visit, but it is what it is...

So you enjoyed Skippers Canteen? I am so on the fence about trying this one.

Thank you for this! I keep making and cancelling Skipper's Canteen reservations, because if DW sees one of those fish go by, we're done for the day. We're also headed to Paradiso, and since the apps were my reason for wanting to go, I'll make sure we stick to them. We keep trying to like Yachtsman, but two "meh" meals has taken it off of our lists. Maybe next time ...

That's so sad it's almost funny-the only way you can get dinner rolls is to order them as an appetizer and then you're charged $12! That's an example of dining prices getting rather out of control. Appreciated your comments about that and all the others.

Glad to see a good review for Restaurant Marrakesh. It's on our list for April, but have never been there. The menu looked really good.
Skippers Canteen hoping to get in one of the smaller rooms. Been there 3 times and always in the large room. Still realy enjoy it.
Tiffins too bad you had a bad experience. We were there in October. Had wonderful food and service. Definitely did not leave hungry. We weill find out in April if they changed things when we go back for the 4th time.
Yachtsman Steakhouse never tried it, but sounds like we should.

The hidden gem......fun,entertaining and delish food..great service.....took family(all adults 14 ) for dinner May 2017!

We have loved Marrakesh. The food is about as adventurous as WDW gets and, every time we've been, it's been the most air-conditioned place on property. And empty! It's the absolutely perfect antidote to park crowds.
