Feelings are subjective earlier this year I was close to dying in hospital with liver failure and on about 4 drips. Somebody stole my Disney watch it was only $25 but oh how I cried ..I was so upset!

Along those lines, I accidentally broke the crystal in my wife's Lady & The Tramp wristwatch several years ago. I sent it in to the authorized repair center and they lost it. I felt horrible and my wife was upset. It doesn't sound like much, but that watch had been the last thing given to my wife by her mother who had died of breast cancer. The sentimental value was priceless.

After looking for a couple of years, I did find an exact replacement watch for my wife, but although it was close, it wasn't the same.

A Disney vacation can be challenging enough with small children without having the extra headache of losing your stroller. I can totally understand the frustration. You plan and plan and scrimp and save and BAM! Something can happen that puts a layer of frustration on your trip. After plunking down a few thousand dollars I would not want to spend $100 on a new stroller that is for sure. No judgement here.

People offered up some great solutions (I totally agree with the Amazon Prime option). My advice is to go hit up the pool, have a cocktail and get your kids an ice cream. All will be sorted out soon. Don't let it get you down :)

Oh no! I was sad by your story of the watch. I am so sorry. I am glad that you found a replacement but you are right you can't replace it exactly but it will mean a lot to her that you got one. Yours will now hold a new special sentimental value.

Hope it all worked out & we get a happy update on the stroller. :earsboy:

Thank you so much for the helpful and supportive posts. We had paid $42 ish to hire a city mini for 3 days in the hope that the other one will be found. Virgin dais they would reimburse us for emergency expense up to $50 so we could claim that back at least.

Then we had some good news with a call from Virgin who had found the stroller in Orlando but said it was in a different location in customs. They apologised and said they would send it to our resort within a few hours which was brilliant news for us.

Unfortunately our little boy has been very ill and is being sick a lot so all plans are now on hold. We are hoping he will feel better after a good night's sleep. If not we may have to spend some time at the hospital.

Thank you again for all your help, it's much appreciated.

Oh no- sorry to hear! You can have a doctor come to your room- ask the front desk. We had to do that when our son came down with strep.

I'm sorry to hear that your son isn't feeling well. I hope it passes quickly and you all go on to have a wonderful vacation!

I liked that the stroller was found. Not liking that your little one is sick.

If it isn't life threatening or something he has had before you can go to a ready clinic instead of the hospital. It will be much cheaper then the hospital. Disney has a relationship with Centracare and will even arrange pick up and drop off.

So sorry to hear your son is sick! Wishing him a speedy recovery! Before
considering a hospital, I highly recommend you consult with the hotel staff to see if there are any local clinics that might be able to see you (assuming his condition isn't urgent or dangerous) or if they have other recommendations. My brother in law passed out in his room last year after a terrible coughing fit and hit his head on the bathroom sink. He had a bad concussion and cut requiring stitches. The hotel staff was amazing and took care of all the logistics so my sister in law could stay back at the hotel with their young kids. Unfortunately, illness and accidents happen on vacation, but Disney is well-equipped to be a resource for help.

On another note, thrilled to hear your stroller has been found!

@Kara19840 sorry to hear about the health issues. DW & I took our DGDs for their first trip in June, and while everyone stayed healthy, there were some pretty big bumps along the way. Maybe we all have to get that "One trip that made us go grrr" out of the way, and I'll hope things smooth out for you.

I hope the little guy is better soon. Maybe too much excitement? (Hopefully that's all). Hope he recovers and you have a wonderful time.
