Day 6 June 14, 2007

We all made it through yet another day. We had a long nights sleep, and slept in a bit this morning. We awoke in time to get to California Adventure, for opening at 1000 hours, oh but wait it is already open??? WHAT? I had no clue they had EE for CA too. Oh well, we got up showered, ate breakfast at concierge of course, and were at the park and inside at 0936 hours. We head over to Soarin’ the standby is only 10 minutes, so we just get in line, we were on rather quickly and still love it. Next we hit Grizzly River Run, of course for some reason my DS decides to throw a fit again and screams he does not want to get wet, so DD finally offers him her sweatshirt and that makes him happy. Ok now how much sense does this make, he doesn’t want to get wet, but he wants to go swimming :fish: every day and every time he sees the fountains or play area he wants to go running through them. After the fun river ride, we got a little wet, not too bad though, we head over and walk right on Monsters Inc. :sulley: We then go to Animation Academy and get to draw Mickey::MickeyMo , mine actually looks like him! On to the Sorcerer’s Workshop:smickey: , cute we got to act 2 scenes and sing a song that was a lot of fun, thank heavens no one could hear our singing though:rolleyes1 . Then off to Turtle talk with Crush, that was so cute we never took the time to do this at WDW and I am glad we did here, we got to walk right into the show, we did all of these in a perfect order that we just walked from one to the other.

We stopped to grab a bite to eat and then hit “A bug’s land”, Heimlich’s Chew Chew train, cute but too short, Tuck and Roll’s Drive ‘Em Buggies, I rode with DS and he felt compelled to just keep running into his sister. Next I let DS and DD get on Francis’ Ladybug Boogie, no more spinning for me, then we all get on Flik’s Flyers, I love the lightening bug lamps, then off to run through Princess Dot Puddle Park, to get wet!!!! From here we decide to head out and we take a ride on the monorail, we ride the whole way around, and see that DL is just packed. We exit the monorail and stop off at the candy store :mickeybar in DTD, we then go into the store at HOB and purchase a few items, back to PP. I take DS swimming for a short time then it is back to CA for dinner at Ariel’s Grottoprincess: . I just loved the ceiling here, the lights and art work was so neat. The food is ok, nothing too exciting, the character interaction, although slow to get started worked out well in the end. Much better then at Goofy’s :goofy: where we only got to see 2 of the characters. However the food was much better at Goofy’s. After dinner I try again to see if there are any openings for DS at Pinocchio’s Workshop, and there is!!! Yeah so we run him over there it is about 1730 hours now, and we only have 1 ½ hours left at CA. We return and get over to ToT, we walk right into the library, love this ride, since it was so quick, DD and I get on a second time, after this we head to California Screamin’, which we were smart enough to get FP for before we left to take DS to Pinocchio’s, so we get in line and don’t have to wait too long to start moving through the main line, we decide to wait for the front row and so glad we did, the ride was great, I love it:love: . Wished we could have gone again. Next we head to Maliboomer, since we still have 15 minutes left, that was fun I love the thrill, hate the anticipation. We hit what we wanted to and head to pick up DS. We then head back to DTD and to build a bear again and make grandma a puppy. Back at the hotel, it is time to relax and unwind after a very long and enjoyable day.

We just watched the fireworks from the 3rd floor deck it is so nice :cloud9: they have the music piped in!:)

Tomorrow, we have breakfast with Lilo and Stitch:stitch: , Limo tour of LA, let’s hope this company is better then the other one, and we end with Fantasmic:smickey: :cake: Dessert reception. Until tomorrow!

Wow....limos, dessert receptions, character meals, conceirge, overpriced stuffed bears......

......I want to travel first class with you guys. :rotfl:

Great Report MPH :thumbsup2

And thanks for the info on cabs & trains....with gas prices & rental cars, I wonder if it might be cheaper (& at least more fun) to take the train if one wanted to day trip it to San Diego?

I have read every day of your trip and I must say you sure know how to do a vacation right;) ...me, too! We could be sisters, except you are in law enforcement and I am a big wimp who works in an office (Human Resources).

You guys all sure have a great attitude which makes any vacation better. Can't wait for tomorrow, I hope it is better than the LegoLand disaster! Southern Cal is not equipt to handle any kind of mass transit. We are very car orientated and spend way too much $$ on cars and gas. Kind of sad.

Anyway, thanks so much for sharing all the details, I anxiously await your next report.
