Being the ultimate planner that I am, I have already started planning for next Christmas 2004. Well, I thought it would be fun to check out prices at AKL or Poly for a stay between Christmas and New Years Day. We have annual passes, will have been two or so times prior in the year, so "doing" the parks will not be a big deal as we realize this is the busiest time of year. Just a nice place to spend the holiday and pop in and out of parks when we want to. I'm fortunate that I'm an airline Employee and essentially get 50% off rooms. I was still shocked at the price quoted. We stayed at AKL December 2002 for $150ish per night, savana view. The rate for next December was $230.00 per night, savana view. That means the cost of the room went from around $300.00 rack rate to around $460.00 per night in two years times. Unbelievable.
Needless to say, my new plan is to stay at our beloved Beach Club for 138 points for six nights, including New Year's Eve!!
