We are meeting some friends in WDW in October. Can we have guests come and swim at our pool with us? We're staying at AKV.

Thanks!

Unless you can put them on the reservation, they can't swim with you. However, you can ask at the front desk if you would like.

There are signs at the pool area stating that the pool is only for the use of guests staying at the resort.

We've stayed at AKV twice, the pool area isn't large enough to accommodate extra swimmers.

Thanks guys. That's what I thought the answer would be, but you never know ,and.... bobbiowz is righth.... it never hurts to ask. I won't make any promises, but I will ask at the desk at some point and if they say it's ok, I'll extend the invite.

Thanks again!

Animal Kingdom Lodge and Villas are exempt even from the DVC Member Poolhopping program, so it is doubtful they would allow your friends to come swim.

OH!! I didn't know that! That's the 2nd DVC we own where others can't pool hop to it! I knew there was no pool hopping to AKL, but wasn't aware that it extended to AKV too. Well...... I guess you really do learn something new everyday! Thanks for that!

If you do ask, you need to ask the life guards and not the front desk. You need to notify the front desk if you are pool hopping.
