Just added on at Riviera

205 additional points direct with a December UY. This now makes 700 total for us with 530 direct at Riviera and 170 resale at Aulani.

2020 UY points are a joy.We have a family of nine traveling in May and now have a one and two bedroom villa booked at VGF. Loving DVC.

They bought December UY points. Since they’re in the 2020 December UY, they got 2020 points, which DVC is going to allow them to bank even though they’re past the banking window. And on December 1 of this year they get another UY set of points. So they’ll have double the number of points available to use during their 2021 UY.

The resort itself is really nice and the room layout is open. The skyliner is also nice - except it goes down a lot for weather. Other downfall of skyliner is if you wait for park close to leave there is a really long wait. But the resort is really nice.

Pros:
I think it has some of the best resort quick service, pool bar and table service available. The skyliner beats the bus by a mile. The rooms are spacious. Some rooms can see EPCOT fireworks from their balconies. We piped in our own music for the show from a previously recorded show on YouTube. its within walking distance to CBR so that gives you additional food options.

Cons:
I thought the pool felt too small during the afternoons.
I wish the main shop offered a few more packaged sweet snack options.

I added on another 50 points direct this fall also. If I see a smaller contract resale, I might purchase that as well. I like Riviera and don't mind if that were the only place I could stay on resale points.

We love the atmosphere and the rooms at the resort. It is subtle Disney.

We also enjoy the views from the lake over to CBR. It makes me feel as though we are in the Bahamas and I enjoy my coffee there in the morning.

The Skyliner is a great option over the bus for the two parks. Yes, it can go down but if it does we would Uber instead unless we have someone with a scooter. Then we do the bus. So far we have never experienced this.

I find the QS food some of the best on property but we enjoyed getting some easily from CBR too.

I do a morning walk and enjoy that option around the lake.

The little coffee shop is a nice feature for those of us who enjoy the speciality type coffees and the library is above peaceful place to work and hang out while waiting for our room or for some of the people who I travel with who don’t do the pools.

Now it’s more points but we’d rather stay one less night each trip!

It’s now the top resort for us and every stay includes at least a few nights there. We will then split stay with an MK resort or SSR if we are not going to MK that trip.

There’s a 60 pt contract that just went up today, thought about putting in an offer, but think we’re just going to add on direct.
