Just added a day to our NYE trip!

DH and I have a trip planned to VWL for late December. We were going to visit family in Tampa, check in to our one-bedroom on the 29th and out on the 2nd. We've been watching airfare and this trip it was actually cheaper to book through TPA rather than MCO, but the best deal was going home on the 3rd.

We checked CRO and there were some good rates, but we thought we'd just take a chance and see if points were available for the night of the 2nd at VWL. Guess what? THEY ARE!! Granted, it's a Friday night and the points are high, but considering it's still technically the holiday period, I was pleasantly surprised to get it... especially at VWL!

As it turns out, we get to stay an extra day for CHEAPER! We have APs and had the extra points. Gotta love DVC!!

Hey that all sounds great! I'm glad that your vacation plans are falling in place so nicely.

I will be there at that time too. The best thing about January 2 is that it is still New Year's week but it becomes the lowest point use time of the year on January 1. A big difference from the weekend before.

I just added 12/24 to my OKW reservation and upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom. (12/21 arrival 12/25 checkout!)
