Today I got the phone call that UPS has lost my package. That package was my wedding dress. They told me they will look for 8 business days and if not found will give me the money from the insurance I covered on the package. It has not been scanned or seen for 3 days. It made it to Jacksonville from NY.

Im not trying to scare any of you that have intentions of sending your dress down, rather hoping to get some prayers sent our way.

I will pray for you!!! Try, and I know it's hard - but this has happened to me before with all the crazy online shopping that I do - sometimes things get "stuck" in the system, and a package of mine didn't scan for a week, and finally made it's way to NJ. So, there is still hope!! :hug: You are in my thoughts.
 
OH I hope they find your dress!! Mine is supposedly going for a 2nd attempt at being delivered. I won't feel good until my mom calls me that she got it. Did you insure it for twice its worth?

Ps-I think we are on the same day- sept 20th. YAY

Why would that matter? You have to establish your loss with a receipt which clearly shows the amount of $$ you are out.

You can't be put in a 'better' position $$-wise through insurance...only reimbursed for your actual loss.

However their loss has put her/anyone in this position with a severe problem when it comes to finding another dress. It is very close to the wedding & to find a replacement dress in such a short time, is very hard.

What about people who are sending things they dont have receipts like family heirlooms? What about those worths?

Awwww honey, I'm so sorry. Fingers crossed it will show up. I had a parcel sent to me from my friend in the USA and it still showed as 'Awaiting Collection' from the first delivery place after a week when she queried it with them. It turned up on my doorstep a few days later, but still showed as 'Awaiting Collection' on the status.

That's terrible! I'm sure it will show up soon...it's not like they lost a letter or something. Somebody has to notice it wherever it is and get it back on its way!
 
Good luck. I'm glad UPS called you. They lost one of my pkgs but they didn't call. I waited and waited and when I called they refused to start the tracking process unless the shipper started it with them! They told me I wouldn't get my money back if I started the process and they couldn't find the pkg. HOW DUMB IS THAT! I really hope they find your dress very quickly!

That's the worst! I hope it's just a little hiccup in the system due to all the storms. I'll be thinking of you and hoping it turns up!
