Well, the Disney bug was bitin', so we decided to take a quick overnighter. I made reservations at the Travelodge, ($61.00), on US 192 in Kissimmee, (and reservations were right). We left Palm Harbor at about 3:30 and arrived at the hotel about 5:45. Traffic was pretty bad through Tampa and I-4 had some slowdowns as well.

Checked in to the hotel and drove around the back to our room. Definetly not a Disney resort, that's for sure. It wasn't really dirty, but not as clean as I would have liked it. Oh, well, next time I'll spend the extra $20.00 and stay at the All-Stars or phone a friend and stay at the Swan/Dolphin.

We had a PS at Chef Mickey's for 8:45, so we just chilled in the room until 8:00. We were going to go across the street to Old Town but the temperature was in the low 50's with a pretty stiff wind, so that was out.

Megan, 12 soon to be 13, was more interested at that point in calling a male friend of her's anyway, so her mom and I were just relaxing watching the Disney channel.

We drove to the Contemporary and briskly walked inside to escape the cold. We arrived at Chef Mickey's and received one of those buzzing/lighted things that let you know when your table is ready. The hostess told us we could get our photo taken and then we could hang out with Donald in the mean time. Is it just people who make PS's that get their pictures taken in front of the plate with the knife and fork, or can anyone do it?

After the picture, we took some photos of Donald with our group and watched him try to swallow little kids' heads. Or maybe he was kissing them, I couldn't be sure. Our thing buzzed and lit up at 8:50, not a bad wait at all, and we were brought to our table.

Dinner was fun. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Chip and Dale came to our table, as they did to everyone's table, and fooled around and posed for pictures. Mickey was being very flirtatious to Megan, so I mentioned I was going to tell Minnie about him. He made a motion to his ringless finger and danced away! LOL!

A photo package, from the previously taken photo, was brought to our table for purchasing, which I did. The package included an 8x10, a couple of key chains with the photo and 2 other smaller photos - $26.00.

After coffee and dessert, it was time to leave. After paying the bill - $83.00  we decided to take the monorail and do some resort hopping.

It was getting late so we only had time to stop at the Polynesian for a few minutes. We went out to the pool, by now the temperature was really dropping and the wind was blowing pretty hard. The pool was heated and the steam rising off was really cool to see. We stopped by the DVC kiosk and chatted with John, from Celebration, while Megan was on the phone - again.

By that time, it was almost 11:00, it was time to head back to the monorail to retrieve the Rodeo and head back to the hotel.

The next day, Saturday, we awoke about 9:30 and got ready to leave. We headed over to Fantasia Mini-Golf since the weather was a little bit more cooperative. We played the miniature golf side of the course and we all managed to get one hole-in-one. Megs had high score, 63, G/F had 54 and I scored a 52, woohoo! All hail the Mini-Golf King, at least for that day,.

Next ,we headed to the Boardwalk for lunch at the ESPN Club. Got there a little before 11:30, so they weren't open yet. There were only about 15 people waiting when the doors did open, and we took a booth in the bar area. We got a couple of Playstation 2 controllers from the host/hostess and Meg's and I played while we ate lunch. After paying the bill, ($43.00), we fooled around in the arcade for a little while and then started the drive home so I could get to work by 5:00.

All in all, it was a very nice trip, and I'm more excited to get back for the Flower and Garden festival soon.
