the good weather around us all also brings out the little buggies.....my husband has been out with our grandson and just came in and there was a tick on his arm.......granted it may or may not be a deer tick.....probably a wood tick.....but everyone should still be very careful......check yourself and kids and animals when you have been outside..........

I just stripped the beds of 2yo DD and 6yo DS down to the mattress. For the past few mornings they have been waking up with nasty looking bites. They don't look like flea bites (I'm familiar with them). I hope washing everything will put an end to this.

I'm not looking forward to the West Nile cases popping up again this summer. Remember when mosquito bites where merely annoying, not potentially life threatening?

I love the birthdays that go on and on and on......hahaha....had lunch out at an Italian restaurant.....now the lobsters are on their way for supper......my kind of day...I do love fried clams too......

I have pulled 2 ticks off of youngest dd in the past 8 days. One was in her ear. Thank goodness it did not crawl all the way down in her ear canal. We'd have been at the emergency room. The other one I found after swimming the other night. It was drowned, but still on top of her head. These things are nasty! I can't stand them!!!

My 17 yr old dd found a tick on herself yesterday. That was a first!

I have a turtle who insists on visiting my backyard. I chase him back under the fence to the lake, and no doubt he returns. We got home from chasing around a little while ago. He dug back under my fence...destroying part of my grass! And there are what looks like cracked shells (white) out there. My little pup, Skippy, ate one!
