Heyo, I'm currently looking at online classes that won't bust the bank. I've really wanted to do this program since my sophomore year of highschool. What I'm wondering is will I be able to take maybe a couple of online classes or maybe only one and still be eligible for the program? I don't really want to sign up for a community college degree since the ones I'm looking at don't align with what I want to do careerwise. (I'm planning to be an animator.) My second question is..do most colleges allow you to take a couple courses without applying for a degree? I'm a fresh highschool grad (go class 2011!) so I don't have the largest wallet. I guess that's why I was really looking forward to careerstart because I fit the requirements perfectly and I wouldn't have to go through all of this confusing jumble of communtity college stuff. I'm really grateful for the help if anyone is willing to share :)

Most colleges (if not, all) have a non-matriculating program you can apply to. It means you're not planning on graduating, but you want to take some college level classes (usually used for getting pre-reqs for grad school, or just for fun).

You only need to be enrolled in at least one college course in order to apply for the Disney College Program. During the program, you don't necessarily have to take any college classes at all (depending on your school, your school may require you to take classes, but the Disney College Program itself does not require that you be enrolled in any college course while actually working at Disney--you only have to be taking a college course when you apply to the program)

Not sure if Community Colleges, or online colleges have the non-matriculating option, but I would assume they do. But yeah, you only need to somehow get yourself into one college class for one semester and then apply during that semester, if you're trying to meet the absolute bare minimum requirement. Good luck. :)
