My mother ended up contacting Disney about were to stay for the marathon. We want to stay at the dolphin because we need the heavenly beds for our tired little body. (soon to be little bodies) hehe. They said that there will be transportation for all of the marathoners. I guess will be on the "special" bus. :) or will take a taxi to get there earlier.

Swan/Dolphin transporation is the same as an "official" Disney resort. No special bus for you! :rotfl:

We stayed at the Swan for the marathon in '06 - they definately have transportation.

We stayed there this year and it was great!! There were LOTS of other marathoners staying there!!

Does anyone tell you, your a brat. :) I am special so I don't really need a special bus for that. LOL

Sweetheart we is all special. You just tell anyone that you are going to DisneyWorld to walk/run a marathon and they will look at you like you are a few fries short of a happy meal.

Dave:)

yeah they do that alot because we go twice a year. there always like, don't you want to go somewhere else. I am always say NO! I love it there

Yes we do get that a LOT! But it's a nice goal to strive for.

It's funny how people who don't exercise, wish we would shut up about how it feels to do an adventure like a half or full marathon.

I guess we just don't know know how to live.:cool1:

ladies, you will have an excellent time........i just did the 2007 Donald with my mom and together it is a wonderful memory........

that said -- we stayed at the Swan and boarded the bus right at 4 a.m. no problemos. but what i really wanted to tell you was on marathon morning, we walked over to the bridge to the Boardwalk, which is about mile 23 (?) on the marathon course and watched the wheelchair and running leader pass by. it was amazing. we went down about 8 a.m. or just before. there was only a handful of people so no crowds.

don't forget to book your 'recovery' massage at the Spa in the Dolphin :)

That is great news thanks for the information! Yeah I want a recovery massage to. I have been to the spa once it was awesome.
