I've got a few questions to ask so we can try to help you out:
  • how old are the boys?
  • are you set on August (that's a pretty hot time to go to Florida)? The heat might be a problem for the boy with CF (cystic fibrosis, for readers who might not know). If you haven't yet, check out the information about GACs (Guest Assistance Cards) in the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of this board.
Also (even though it means spending some money) a service like Tour Guide Mike might help you to figure out where to go and when to avoid crowds. Tour Guide Mike is a sponsor of the Theme Parks Board.
In general, getting up and going to the parks early will mean the least crowds and it will also put you at the parks in the cooler part of the day.
  • Do you have an idea of where you want to stay (Am I right that you will have 7 people total)?
Does the boy with CF have any medications that need refrigeration or any special foods? If so, the delux, moderate and home away from home resorts have refrigerators. You could request one for medical reasons from a value resort.
  • You can go to First Aid in any of the parks to do postural drainage or whatever other treatments the boy with CF needs? If he does Vest treatments or uses a percussor, you can bring them/it to First Aid for storage until he needs to use it.
