Culinary Arts school, I would imagine. Once you have a degree in CA, you can train with Disney.

That's not an imagineer, unless it was costuming, but you could look into the Disney company merchandising/marketing, I guess!

You could say I'm kind of obsessed with Imagineering. I want to be a Showwriter for Walt Disney World. I was talking to a friend the other day about it, who I kind of saw as the type of adult that would not really like Disney all that much, but she thought that a Showwriter for Walt Disney World was really cool! I was like 'Wow, don't get that comment a lot' haha. She looked like she genuinely thought that that would be the coolest job in the world! Which, I would have to agree to

Watching a special on NBC right now on the Wizard World of harry Potter.. it's amazing to see them work on this.

Do they show anything on the Forbidden Journey? There's so few videos from the ride, and they are all really bad quality...

They aren't showing Hogwarts til a little towards the end I think, so I'll keep you updated

I really do admire Universal for what they do. They are for sure not as good as Disney theme parkwise, but for the purpose- transferring movies to theme parks, they do a decent job. And they've really done amazingly with Hogsmeade and WWOHP.

They showed the behind-the-scenes stuff, and the Sorting Hat animatronic talking, but nothing else really.
I don't think it was all that complete when they made the special.

From what i've read, it was a sneak peek thing on the HBP DVD, mixed with a couple of new shots and things from the website. I've probably seen everything on the show already. I think it was more for those that know nothing about the place.

Well, for ages now I've been totally confused and lost about what I want to do with my life. I've always loved everything Disney, I've been to Disney World twice, and going again in April (yaaay). Right now, my dream is to take part in a Disney International program and work in the beautiful sunny Orlando for a year, at EPCOT probably (I'm from England mega sadness). I've done my research, and I've got a few years to wait (I'm 15), but when the time comes I really hope I'll be accepted. That's my dream right now, what I'm reaching for. I figured if I work in the US for a year it'll help me figure out what I want to do with my life.
Anyway, that's my little dream.

i just wish I knew someone who was an imagineer to help me get my resume to the right person(s).

I've been all over Disney's site. Their 'requirements' are those of someone who has been in the field for years. I'm looking for an entry level type position (see: <4 years total experience).

I've been working as a NASA contractor for the past 2 years full-time, and have about 4 years total experience due to co-oping.

I've always checked the Imagineering site and Careers listings and never see anything that I would qualify for to a 'T'.


I'm gonna have to apply the 'apply and get an interview' tactic, forgoing the fact that I don't meet all the qualifications.

I think it'd be cool to do some graphic designing for Disney like the adverts and signs and stuff. Idk if that's Imagineering or not though. xD
