Being an imaginer is my dream. Truthfully.
It started off as a 5 year old, when I used to draw pictures of Dinosaurs and tell my parents that I was going to be a Disney artist. While I didn’t hold tight to the artistry, I did hold tight to my dream of being supplemental to Disney. After high school, I went to college and graduated with an Aerospace Engineering degree all in preparation for a potential career as a Disney Imagineer.
Life grabbed me at a young age, so I’ve been rooted in my current location. But, the dream hasn’t dwindled at all. After nearly 2 years working with NASA, I’m getting closer to making the next step to submitting a resume to the Disney Imagineer website. Which, in itself is a bit daunting.
So, we’ll see… even if it never happens, a guy can dream. I’ll keep plugging and hopefully retire in Orlando and ultimately fulfill my dream.
I’d love to be part of ride engineering and build up. In fact, the reason I chose engineering is so I could get a good ground work for mechanical and aerodynamic attributes to rides. But, then again, I’d love to do anything regarding Imagineering. I’d be happy to grab a paint brush and get to work on a poster.
Having said that, hello, all. Glad to be part of this thread.
