Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

How's the Castle going? Last I heard, they put the scrim up at the front of the castle to update it. The crane has gone, and the water's returned to the moat.

I haven't seen any pics to be honest...
hopefully all is well.

I'm excited that I'll be there for the MK's (WDW's) 40th anniversary, hopefully some things will have been cleaned up.

I was in WDW during the 50th celebration. We were in MGM on the 5th May, but it started to rain terribly so we left early... I think if we stayed, we would of seen Beyonce perform -_- Oh, we did see the rehearsal (actual?) press event for Soarin'. It was interesting. They had skydivers and a big sheet over the Fountain of Nations to make cloud shapes.

TBH? Not really.

I've tried to find them and tried various other things but nothing's worked.

Show Set Design takes concepts and breaks them down into bite-sized pieces that are organized into drawing and drafting packages, integrated into the architectural, mechanical, civil, or oher components of the project, and tracked during fabrication.

i'm into mechanical engineer and SFX artist because they're basically dream makers. they make the stuff on paper into a reality.

:'D I bought "the Art of the Princess and the Frog" at Barnes&nobles today!
/nerdgasm

oh i totally forgot. i'm on my way back from DLR and got some pics of the river all drained and the mark twain and columbia in dry dock. does any1 want to see?

also talk around CA is aladdin is ending production in august and toy story will be taking it's place 6 months later. any comments?

Clown-themed rollercoaster? I'm imagining clown cars :teeth:

Does sound like it's going to be very nature-ey.

Being an imaginer is my dream. Truthfully.
It started off as a 5 year old, when I used to draw pictures of Dinosaurs and tell my parents that I was going to be a Disney artist. While I didn’t hold tight to the artistry, I did hold tight to my dream of being supplemental to Disney. After high school, I went to college and graduated with an Aerospace Engineering degree all in preparation for a potential career as a Disney Imagineer.

Life grabbed me at a young age, so I’ve been rooted in my current location. But, the dream hasn’t dwindled at all. After nearly 2 years working with NASA, I’m getting closer to making the next step to submitting a resume to the Disney Imagineer website. Which, in itself is a bit daunting.
So, we’ll see… even if it never happens, a guy can dream. I’ll keep plugging and hopefully retire in Orlando and ultimately fulfill my dream.

I’d love to be part of ride engineering and build up. In fact, the reason I chose engineering is so I could get a good ground work for mechanical and aerodynamic attributes to rides. But, then again, I’d love to do anything regarding Imagineering. I’d be happy to grab a paint brush and get to work on a poster. ;)

Having said that, hello, all. Glad to be part of this thread.
:D

I am a future Imagineer. I want to be a showwriter for Walt Disney World. I recently chatted with one, Jason Surrell, about the book I am writing. One of my characters is a Showwriter for Walt Disney World in that as well.
I love Imagineering and have tons of new ideas for Walt Disney World. It is a dream, and one that will hopefully come true.

Some aerial photos of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The pictures of the castle did shock me... Also in the first picture, you can see the Dueling Dragons ride looks taller then the castle itself, at least the lift hill. If you looked backwards when going up, you'd see the entire building for the Forbidden Journey ride... Oh, and the Hogwarts Express position looks odd. Unless it's a magic tunnel (of course it is!) then it looks like they cut the thing in half, less then that actually...
