Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

I just like Disney World so much that one day I said to my mom, " I want to be an imagineer and work at Disney World."

thanks also what is imaginations is it that contest where two kids from a collage make an invention to send to disney and if they win disney might use there product to increase the enjoyment at WDW

Am I taking on too much? I'm putting together ideas/sketches for a whole park.

Erm.

Well, no, because i't's been done before- I believe a park called "Space Port" won the contest this past year.

But you do need to make a team, and a whole park is a very challenging task to get all of the presentation materials done for. (Models, animations, sketches, drawings)

I'm focusing on restaurants for the time being- but I also have several ride ideas bouncing around.

So my current game plan:
1. Go to Carnegie Mellon precollege Theater Design school next summer
2. Get into USC or CalArts for Theater Design (backup: Carnegie Mellon, but not as wanted) Dream school: UCLA
2a. Enter ImagiNations competition Junior yr, Senior yr, 1 year after college (if not a finalist Junior year)
3. Begin application process for WDI or go to Grad School in a spec. area of Theater Design (UCLA offers this, AND they have an Imagineering course)
4.Apply to other theme park companies and gain experience, all the while still applying to WDI
5. ?? Get into WDI xD

I'm behind here... Just want to point out that more people may find Star Tours 2.0 sickening due to the inclusion of 3D.

What about a restaurant with the faries and the theme is Pixie hallow. like the one in the castle with the princesses.

I have no idea what type. It could be. Aren't Disney changing the film used in Muppets to Disney Digital 3D, which is RealD 3D, right?

I don't get how the 3D is gonna work though. Is it going to add depth to the movie, like Up did, or are things going to come out at us. If the latter, then it won't make sense because we're in an enclosed pod...

I guess it's DisneyDigital, its like the "add depth to the movie" kind. I saw it for Avatar and WOW.
