Jurrasic Park vs. Journey to Atlantis?

DD 6 rode Journey to Atlantis when she was 5 and loved it, this year at Disney she could not quite get up the nerve to ride Splash Mountain. I was wondering for anyone that can compare how does the drop on the Jurassic Park ride compare to the drop on Journey to Atlantis, wich really did not seem that bad to me. She is a big dinosaur fan so I would love for her to ride it however, I don't want to put my dd on a ride that will terrify her. Being as we are going in December it will probaby be to cold to ride anyway, but in the South you never know.

right before you drop on jurasic park there is a t rex right above you and it looks like he is going to eat you. then you drop. I have been on both rides and I think jurasic park is a little better on the drop because you are 5 wide instead of just 2 wide (across the row), so I think people might feel a little safer in the bigger "boat".

the drop on journey to atlantis is really expected and you are in a tiny little boat. jurassic park is so much better. you are having so much fun you dont even realize that the drop is coming. i think the jta drop is scarier because you are outside and in a small boat whill on jpra you are in a gigantic boat and you are still in the building. just my opinion. have a great time.

The drop in JP is taller and steeper, but not wetter. I get soaked on JTA and wet on JP. It's an "unexpected" drop, and it happens very quickly.

the drop is over very quickly, it's the atmosphere of JPRA. when you start up the lift hill, I've seen many, many kids freak out. it's dark, and there are dino's around you for awhile. not to mention the sound effects.

Yeah, the JP lift hill tends to exaggerate the severity of what you're about to encounter. I think it's the most dramatic part of any ride at IOA.
