Jurassic World VelociCoaster Opens June 10th, 2021

Ack, we are there 6/7-6/11. It looks great but I have no interest in waiting hours to ride it and now worried about parks reaching capacity early. I was planning on going to Volcano Bay the morning of the 10th and heading over to other park(s) in the afternoon. May have to rethink this!

There's gonna be a Jurassic World coaster coming soon to Universal Studios? How cool is that? I have been on a Jurassic World kick and even though i'm not a fan of roller coasters this might be worth learning about? Will Blue be featured on it too? How about Owen Grady? That's who my Jurassic World crush is.

We are there 6/3-6 ... then going to Daytona Beach until 6/12 .... wondering about a chance of previews or soft openings, or do we ride back down on 6/12 AM to try to catch it before driving to NC? We have AP's , want to try to catch it on this trip ... Decisions decisions!!! Hoping for an early ride!

Never been to Universal before. Heading down June 5-9. Should we be concerned about crowds? The new coaster is not on the top of our list.

Chris Pratt (Owen Grady), Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing), and BD Wong (Dr. Henry Wu) all reprised their big screen roles for the attraction that hurls guests into Jurassic World's deadly raptor paddock containing Owen's surrogate dinosaur children: Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo. So it's all there. The land is going to be half Jurassic Park and Half Jurassic World with all this.

We are there June 1-9, so we are just missing by the skin of our teeth, we are there for the OI meetup, hoping maybe we'll get a preview but I doubt it LOL but hey you never know!

Happy/not happy as we will be there the 16-20th of June. We want to ride it but don’t want the insane crowds that it will bring. At least we are staying at RPR with express passes
It can't be any worse than parks have been lately, haven't they been reaching capacity?
We were there over Thanksgiving break, yes it was busy but not crazy, but they also closed due to capacity. As long as they haven't increased capacity by then things shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully they'll do virtual lines.

I really don’t think this is gonna have the draw some people expect. It doesn’t have the fandom of HP. I still think Hagrid will be more popular.

I can't wait to go on it. That said, compared to Hagrids there will be fewer people who are willing to ride it, just by the intensity of the ride itself. Hagrids is good for those who like fast, but don't like big drops / inversions / heights - VelociCoaster is limited to those who want a major roller coaster experience.

Maybe we will get lucky with an impromptu guest preview...
Magic 8 ball sez yes

FOMO, there will be plenty competing to ride the newest attraction at least once. Especially if they’ve already enjoyed hagrids past visits

More than a few of like minded souls will be lined up.

then there’s many of us with kids @ grand kids who will be twisting our arms to accompany them lol

Well that's true, but there are also many whose arms won't be twisted that far.

My friend & I have an arrangement - she knows I'll ask her to go on, and I know she'll refuse. (She almost chickened out on Hagrids but now it is her favorite roller coaster. However there's no way she'll do VelociCoaster).

My sister’s favorite is RRR, but she can hardly wait to ride this, and we’re planning a possible November visit. I’m not sure she’ll get me on it, though - I’l probably just watch her ride! Looks like there. Looks like there might be some nice viewpoints.

I can't wait to ride (possibly by myself since my SO and his mom don't particularly enjoy roller coasters).

What about Jeff Goldblum's character Ian Malcolm? Is Ian Malcolm gonna be featured in the ride as well? That ride is gonna be so awesome when it opens. Can't wait to see the Youtube video for it

I think Velocicoster will have a huge draw and bring out the coaster enthusiasts more than Hagrid's did.

I don't think the Velocicoaster will drive down the Hagrid's waits significantly, though. Anyone who wants to ride Velocicaster will likely also want to ride Hagrid's. I don't think the opposite is necessarily true - there will be many that want to ride Hagrid's but will avoid Vcoaster because of the hill/drop scares them off.
