Can you describe the drop at the end for me? Is it like Splash Mountain? Or alot less tame?

It is a little less tame but drops happen so quickly that it doesn't really make much difference. If you can do Splash, you can do JP.

It depends on if it is the height or the stomach dropping sensation that gets you! JP is a higher drop but SM gets my stomach more.

I want to piggyback off the original question and ask how the Dudley Do Rights Ripsaw Falls drop compares to Jurassic Parks drop? I'm also guessing you'll get alot wetter on Ripsaw Falls than on Jurrassic Park, right?

I don't know if I should try this then. I felt like I was going to die the one time I did Splash, lmao! I'll have to think about it... :scared1: :lmao:

I'm pretty afraid of heights and have rode JP a couple times and prob will ride at least once while we are there next week. Now, saying that I love Ripsaw Falls. It is my favorite rides and you do get soaked on it. DD rode it last year over and over again since she liked it so much.

Jurassic Park River Adventure's drop height is 85 feet. Dudley Do Right's is 75 feet. On Dudley, there are a few drops throughout the ride. You get a lot wetter on Dudley than you do on Jurassic Park. Jurassic Park is usually just a face splash and maybe some of your shirt.

Not to mention that people can pay to use water guns on Ripsaw Falls to make sure that you get completely soaking wet - which I personally find annoying. You mileage may vary.

Yeah I agree with the above comments, and I would like to add that on Ripsaw it's really hard for tall people to get in the ride vehicle. I'm 5'11" with long legs and I couldn't fit into the front seat at all. I could only lower myself into the other seats with difficulty.

Splash Mountain is easy to get into, like getting into a car. Jurassic Park is like sitting down in a school bus.

Jurassic Park is usually the driest, but if you sit in the front seat you "may" get a blast of water in the face. The kids watching from the splashdown viewing area get a lot wetter.

All of these rides are great. If you really want to get wet, go on Bilge Rat Barges. The fun thing about this ride is to watch the other people on your barge - there's always someone who didn't realize how wet they're going to get, all their nice clothes, shoes, etc.

Just went last week. We did Jurassic Park first, I was sitting in the second row behind my brother in the first and barely got wet. Then we went to Ripsaw Falls, I decided to sit behind my brother again and didn't get very wet there either. It was really fun though, but I am short and I found it hard to get in and out of too. Then we went on the Bilge Rat Barges, that was loads of fun. Everyone on the raft was COMPLETELY soaked when we got off. I like the section in the middle that you could store stuff without it getting wet.

To be honest there's so much going on on the ride, it's very different to your normal water ride. Normally they go up then down a drop and you're very aware of the drop. In this, there's dinos, it's quite dark, then you drop without really realising it. It is a steep drop, but it's on a track (so not just the water dropping you down) and so quick before it's over.

Hiya -

the JP drop was the one part of any ride where we all went WOW - THAT WAS GREAT !!! - me and hubby and 6 and 7yr old girls (both quite scaredy cats!! had to cover their eyes for the T-Rex) You get a bit of a weightless feel about half way down - really, really, really fun ride!! That drop was a bit of a highlight of our trip - we don't "do" coasters.

Dudley Do Right is much better, then JP. When it's a hot day, Do Right is the best

have you tried watching it on youtube? there are complete ride thru's with the drop if you search it. it may help a bit. also, i think you may do better on JP than SM since the splash on the drop is much higher and you cant see the drop that much. also, try to sit in the middle, you may feel better surrounded by others, unlike splash when you are sat in single rows.

I think that Dudley Do Right feels a lot faster going down, and there is that dip at the end as well, giving a little bit of that weightlessness feeling

Do people sometimes wear ponchos on these wetter rides so they don't get soaked - or would I be the only dork doing this?:upsidedow

You do see people wearing ponchos on the water rides, although must admit I'm not one of them; I like to be cooled off on a hot summer day :goodvibes:
