Ok So I am going to Orlando with my fiance on our honeymoon in June and I am trying to decide what rides to get on(I am a huge wimp). My fiance is trying to convince me I could handle the Jurassic Park ride since I can handle Splash Mountain at Disney. Do you think if I sat in one of the seats near the back that I would be ok to go on this ride since I don't mind Splash Mountain? how much worse is the drop, I know it is a bit larger.

JPRA is a little more intense than Splash mainly because of the 85 foot drop at the end. ;)

If you like Splash you should be ok but you can look at the ride before making a decision...if that's easier.

rides are quite similar with the drop, my wife is ok on SM and she thought JP was not as bad, she enjoys Dudleys as well

I can't believe she likes Dudley! OMG - I love Splash Mountain and Jurassic Park, but damn that Dudley gives me whiplash. I haven't had enough courage to try it since its been revamped though.
Sitting in back at Jurassic just may get you more wet though - be prepared for that.

In terms of drops, I think that Splash is actually a bit more intense than JP because Splash has a total of 3 drops---2 small ones and one big one. There is just the one drop for JP.

I love both rides!

Going my what my son said - in order of preference he would take splash mountain, then jurassic park then dudley. He liked Jurassic Park but wasn't ready for the big T-Rex and drop at the end.

We should definitely wear a poncho? :confused3
You can..if you don't want to get wet. JPRA..depending upon where you sit..will either soak you or just spray you. I've sat all over the boats and haven't gotten soaked everytime. It depends on the weight of the boat, number of people, etc.

We don't usually get wet on Jurassic Park. Now Dudley is another thing entirely. We usually get totally soaked! If the splashdown doesn't get you, the water cannons will.

And the water out of these is freezing.

Yeah, if you like Splash Mt., you will probably like the Jurassic Park ride. [the Tyrannosaurus at the end scared me half to death, though!!!] :scared1:

It all depends on the time of year you go, if you go in July, Aug or Sept. you will welcome ANY water you can get! LOL! :thumbsup2

I know my son was a little more startled by Jurassic. He throughly enjoyed Splash Mountain - as do we all!
