there is a line in the trailer that i love it's like she's talking to her boyfriend and she's like "will u still think i'm cute when i'm fat?" and he's like "i think you'll be beautiful when you're fat." or something like that

so sweet!!

I think he says 'You're beautiful.'
I love the look on her face when he says that.

i haven't seen knocked up (yet) but that's more dirty just for the sake of dirty.

this is dirty (well not so much) for the sake of funny.
and it's not even that dirty.

but it was the best movie everrrrrr.

I esp. loved how it wasn't all preachy about teen pregnancy - that would have killed it.

Same. I love how it seems not to be so dramatic and sad about teen pregnancy.

And although I do love me some dirty weird comedies, this doesn't seem as...dirty? Which is good, it seems more light hearted.

Anyways, I'll have to wait til it comes out at Blockbuster, I barely ever go to the movies.

sorta i suppose.

but it's not as in-your-face hilarious as knocked up, it's not so much a 'raunchy comedy' as it is a really subtle, sweet comedy.
i know ALOT of people who were like '...thats not funny', it's really subtle with it's comedy.

my favourite part is when her step mom is like "i'm gonna get [some type of dog]" and she goes" WOAH! dream big!"
it's in the tv trailer i believe?



anyways, i totally agree with you too paula, it's not saying that teen pregnancy is the worst thing that can happen to you, it's just about coping with a less-than favourable situation.

haha the thing with ND is that its funny only if you watch segments of it.. but i absolutely hated watching it from beginning to end.... and its one of those movies that your friends have to be there with you so that you can all laugh together to have fun.. watching it alone is like.. ughh lol

I had a bunch of friends over for my birthday like two years ago to watch it. It was literally so bad, we just kind of walked away from it and left it on. Like no one was watching.
And then afterwards it got this annoying following, and people would quote it.
And then AFTER that, you had the people who still thought it was cool, like a year later to quote it... and would argue over whether they saw it before you or not..
Or got a role in a play by doing a scene from that movie (oh that still pisses me off. you don't really need to act to act like a moron).

And I usually LOVE those weird types of movies, but Little Miss Sunshine just didn't do it for me (personally I don't think it deserved the awards it won, but that's a whole different topic and caitlin being a huge film snob)

Borat was only funny in Da ALi G Show (imho) the movie was laaame.
(it was funny to quote for like ...a couple months, but it totally makes me laugh when people still think it's hilarious quote it!!!---though I am guilty of a 'very nice' every so often)
