Junior/Senior Couple and who pays for prom

Kinda veering off topic, but I'm curious. Did your DD wear the same dress to both dances?

She had two different dresses but only because she found them both on clearance. I gave her a budget and told her she could spend it how she pleased but that it was for both dances. Our deal has always been that I buy the dress and shoes and she pays for accessories, tickets, flowers, etc for the dances. Since she found 2 dresses and still came in under budget, I paid for both.

Her original plan was to wear a new dress to her school and then last years dress to his since she had never gone to a dance at his school before. She just got lucky with finding two cheap dresses.

OK, this might be a dumb question, but does your high school have two proms? Or do they go to two different high schools?

I always thought that "your junior prom" just meant the prom you went to your junior year, not a separate prom for juniors.

Our school has two separate proms. One for the members of the Junior Class (and their date if they choose to bring one) and another Prom for the Sneior Class (and their corresponding dates).

At my School it was Jr/Sr. prom. My Sr. year I paid for tixs, think it was 45/couple or something, BF took me to his mom's rest for meal before prom and I'm sure paid nothing for it, I would have been fine with Mcd's. We rode in his truck. Afterwards went to Denny's with friends I believe I bought a coke or something. Each bought other flower.

His Sr. I met him at prom site because I wasn't going to be stranded if he had a fit or who knows what else and it took the whole come home and "snuggle" with me out of picture. He bought our tixs and meal at prom site. Our parents bought our flowers. I went more out of obligation to his mom than anything.

Never went to homecoming dances, not even sure we ever had one until my sr. year. I did go to games with friends.

If your DD asks him to her senior prom, then yes, I think its only fair for her to pay for the tickets. He will be paying for his own tux rental of course. its only fair.

BTW here we dont have junior & senior proms. Only one prom, senior.
