Jungle Cruise Movie

How long until the Jungle Cruise is going to be released. Last time i was on the Jungle Cruise the skipper said as we left the boat Vote for me john, or whatever, to be the star on the soon to be Jungle Cruise movie. So does that mean that the have already made the movie or is it going to start to release soon.

Box Office Mojo: What is the theme of The Jungle Cruise movie?

Dick Cook: There will be a family involved. The skipper will play a very important role. He'll be more of an Indiana Jones kind of guy, with a little Jack Sparrow in him, who's going to be able to take this family on an adventure that they never dreamed they were going to be on when they first got on board. In true Disney fashion, it will definitely have the adventure and the intensity—but also the heart and the fun. We hope we have a good outline of where we want to go and what we want to do with it in the next year.

Box Office Mojo: Do you have a script?

Dick Cook: Not yet. It's being worked on. David Hoberman, whom we have asked to produce it, has been hard at work. He knows that it's a top priority for us—one that we're very, very excited about. It's a real tentpole [picture]. He'll deliver it and when he does, it will be something special.

Then, of course, there's been the rumour that the cast of the AC will be included. With Pirates, Haunted Mansion , and Country Bears I could completely see this happening.

Since Jungle Cruise is my favourite ride, I hope that the movie will be good.
I mean... I saw The Haunted Mansion not that long ago for the first time. And I was speechless. About how they could turn such a good ride with a storyline (the Phantom Manor storyline at DLP, with Melanie Ravenwood is great!) into such a horrible movie was beyond my mind.
I keep on hoping they'll make a "Walt Disney's Phantom Manor" drama based on Thunder Mesa and Melanie and her family.

So as long as the Jungle Cruise movie isn't going to be lame or awful.... yeay!

Yeah Johnny Depp made the right choice... they originally wanted him for the lead in Haunted Mansion.
