Don't get me started on DAK or as I call it the 2 hour park!

Well, if you think AK is a two hour park then I wonder how many of your observations need more scrutiny. JMO though, but just walking the two animal trails takes more than two hours.

A JC refurb has been confirmed to me by multiple skippers. Word of expanding passed trader sam, taking out the little pay boats near the exit, to add in elements of Disneylands JC that WDW does not have.

I am super excited about this. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are a part of Disney and I am looking forward to seeing them team up again. WDW will only enhance the JC ride if the popularity of the movie is there - can't blame them. The Pirate movies remain among my favorites and I love the additions they contributed to the ride. The Haunted Mansion movie was not as great, but still entertaining. I am a Disney World finatic and only get there every other year. I look forward to any piece of it I can get my hands on in the meantime. These movies just help bring WDW to me when I can't be there. I am so surprised at all the negativity to Pirates. I don't know anyone personally who disliked these movies. Without sounding naive, I am so confused!!!! At the risk of repeating myself - I cannot wait for the movie.

Done. With the Nemo show as well as the lion king show. I have always thought Kali RR was a joke.

So that leaves Dino (even though 60 thus is not an exaggeration 60% of the effects are broke or shut off)

Ok good for you for me DAK takes two hours I'm not sure what you want me to say?

DAK is on of the best themed parks ever created the one problem is the complete lack of attractions the park is all theme and no rides. It needs an expansion badly and almost completely lacks C-D tickets.

It's more what I want you to NOT say. Just expressing a personal opinion that "AK is a two hour park" is simply counter productive to rationale discussion as there will be perfectly valid personal opinions from other DIS'ers as well that contradict what you say ... Nothing more than naneenanee boo boo.

Yep,
If you go to the AK just for the rides, it is a half day park. If I went to Sea World or the Zoo just for their rides it would be a pretty short trip too.
If I go to the AK for its entire purpose I can't get it done in a day.
I do wish it had another big ticket attraction. The dino carni is an affront to the senses. I'd also like to see some better blending of the animal and ride elements. I've heard good things about Busch Gardens (I think it was) in this aspect.
I think an entire new land would be crazy though. It’s already such a massive park. Maybe if they just replaced stupid things like the petting zoo, train, Camp Mickey, Dino Carni etc....

sounds like it could be awesome. I wouldn't doubt a refurb of the ride if the movie is a success... I agree though hopefully minor if at all.
