Jungle Book/Rivers of Light Dining Package Lookout thread for Dates After Sept 5th

Following! And thanks for this thread. It kinda helps explain why there are NO dinner ressies available anywhere in AK for my week, end Nov/beginning Dec. I did jump on a 4:00 at Y&Y, but that almost counts as lunch... Very much hoping they will open up some dinner times when ROL is sorted out.

I have a 4:00 Tusker House but I'd much rather package it up and make it a little later. Hopefully we know something before the 5th of September. We won't get there until the 16th but I may go crazy before then. It's killin' my spreadsheet-loving planner self!

I'm following! I booked a 4:15 dinner ressie at Tiffins for December 2. I don't mind eating early, but we aren't going to go back to animal kingdom on this day if there aren't any nighttime offerings since the park says its closing at 5:00. These unsettled things drive the planner in me crazy!

Since the other thread I stared was helpful while waiting for the initial Jungle Book Dining Packages to be offered, I decided to start another one for those of us who will be visiting AK after September 5th and are still hoping to secure either a Jungle Book or Rivers of Light Dining Package for our visit.

We don't know if Jungle Book will be extended after September 5th or if they will possibly switch it over to Rivers of Light but, it's helpful to have a place to keep track of the latest offerings of the Dining Package.

Please feel free to follow this thread and we'll post updated information here as it's released.

We are going in early December and between this and no F!/or SW FW schedule to book that dinner has made my spreadsheet nuts. I have several evenings to switch between AK and HS depending on what days each offers something but having several dinners not booked makes me worry. I wish they would figure out whether they want people planning ahead and locked in (in this case they should release the schedule on time) or not.

would be nice to know how to plan our park days for sure. I am somewhat luckier as we have the QSDP so I am not trying to manage daily ADRs 180 days out while Disney does not give us all the information we need 180 days in advance. We have 2 TS ADRS that we are paying OOP for and right now like everyone else just hoping that I guessed right.

for our 2009 trip Disney was transitioning from ADRs made only by phone to on line and there was a period when you could only make ADRS 90 days in advance. that would be much easier.

I just saw first notifications that AK park hours have been extended past Sept 6th. Let's hope JB or RoL dates are announced soon and also the corresponding dining packages!

Update: I checked availability and there are still no dates being offered for the dining packages after Sept 5, 2016.

Only a little bit (open til 11pm september 3rd, open til 7:30pm september 24th - both are saturdays) and only through october sometime.

Yes, they've only updated September and October. Guess I should have mentioned that. Sorry!

I believe the 'extended hours' for these months will be as late as they get. Crowds drop dramatically after Labour Day and sunset is earlier (around 7:15pm when we're there mid-September) so my guess is that if/when JB or RoL is shown in September there will only be one show and it will be around 7:30 or 8:00. Purely speculation on my part though.

I forgot that weekend was labor day weekend, lol. duh! You have a lot of people here for december salivating hoping RoL will be worked out by then! me one of them. 7:30 close would be fine with me, it is enough time to get back to our room at the boardwalk and walk over for 9:30 illuminations one additional time (yay for parkhoppers). I can't imagine what I'd do at AK at 10pm anyway for me it would likely just be see RoL and head out.

I found that they released more tables for Tiffins dinner today too for early December. It used to be that tables available would be around 3pm. I see availability for 4:20 and 4:40 almost everyday from Dec 3-11 now.

i should recheck my Y&Y, 4 was a little early for me but 4:30 or closer to 5 would work
