I looked into this but the tours are LOOOOONG. 3.5 hours? Yipes! I'm not sure my 8 year old as a 3.5 hour attention span for anything at this point in her life. Did you have kids with you? Thoughts on the length?
Yes, we had our DD who was 9 at the time. It was the three of us and another couple in their 20s. Honestly, I would have been disappointed with less time. It takes a while to get out where the whales are and once you start seeing them, you don't want to have to leave quickly. It didn't feel long at all to me. You can be upstairs or downstairs and DD wasn't bored. She did nap a bit in the downstairs on our way back from the whales, but not really out of boredom, more necessity as it was an early morning and the boat ride was so nice.
