June Waitlist Thread

We currently have a BWV standard view studio for 9 nights: 5/31 - 6/9. Now, I am quite happy that I was able to get that (and in fact added a few nights just a few weeks ago). BUT, my DS8 loved AKV when we stayed there for one night in October. So, I have two waitlists; 1) AKV (studio - value or standard) for 6/5 - 6/9; or 2) AKV (studio - value or standard) for 6/6 - 6/9. I would love to get AKV for the last few nights, but it's hard to be too sad when I have a better location with BWV. Still - may I still have some pixie dust for my DS?

i currently have bcv reservations for the start of our trip but had to waitlist for the end. i'm holding ssr ressies but i hope we don't have to move.

Do you continue to call MS to check the availability of the accommodations you are wait-listed for?

We had been booked at Saratoga Springs, but our wait list came through for AKV-standard studio.(we wait-listed BWV, BC, AKV, and VWL) We are going to be there June 9-14. This came through a few weeks ago.

So far no luck on any of my waitlists. I check dvcmember page every day. Crossing fingers something will come through soon.

MS said the wait list ends one week before ressie starts. Has anyone continued to call the resort directly to check on availability or to ensure connecting room? I have heard you can sometimes influence room assignment by calling the resort 3/4 days prior to arrival. I am waiting for a 2br at VBR but if it is not to be, I really need my 2 GVIR to be connecting. Our trip is May 15-18.

i had two days of my waitlist come through yesterday for the bcv.

We originally were able to get 2 studios at AKV 6/8-6/13. We are hoping for a 2BR. The waitlist came through for a 1BR. Now, we have a studio and a 1 BR. We really would prefer the 2BR because it is 38 pts less. We are on a waitlist for the 2BR. Hopefully, that will come through and we can save the pts for another trip.

Still waiting for first night of trip for a 1 BDR. standard at BWV. Right now we hold a 1 bdr BW view ressie for that night.

I call every once and a while, but nothing is ever available.

Really don't want to move after only one night. Come on waitlist.

When I first called in for my dates ( June 17-20 ) there were no studios available anywhere. I booked a 1 BDRM at OKW but really didn't want to use that many points as it's just a trip for the kids and me ( DH is staying home ).

I waitlisted for any studio and got SSR the next day.

I'm currently waitlisted for any studio at AKV, but feel "not at all" optomistic

I'm not waitlisted because I'm using developer points for our June trip.

But I had 4 nights in SSR studio (June 13-17) and called about 10 days ago and was able to switch June 13/14 to a VWL studio (VWL was not available in Feb when I made my original ressie). I'm sure those days were open because it's weekend points. I might call after the 30 day window and see if I can get the other 2 days, but I doubt that will happen.

We are going June 11 - 17th. We got in at our home resort BWV for the 1st 4 nights & a 1 bedroom at VWL. We were originally waitlisted for the night of the 12th--paying rack b/c we couldn't even get the room w/ a DVC discount or AP.

We are stilly praying that the waitlist fairy comes through for BCV or AKV for the last 3 nights in the 1 bedroom. DH's fav is AKL & he lost his job recently. It would be so great to have him relax & enjoy that.

Vacation is still on even w/ the job loss b/c we've already got APs (no additional cost) and we have our points of course so it's just food & little extras that we will have to watch our spending on. I love DVC. Can you believe that we can still go on vacation? If this was any other trip, I would've cancelled it.

I was at a wedding shower this afternoon and learned from the bride that their honeymoon is an unstructured driving trip to Florida. Also, that she has an unused day on a Disney ticket from back when she was 12 years old! The bride and groom love animals so I suggested that I might have a wedding gift idea for them. I said it was late, but there was a chance I could book a DVC room for them for one night as our gift to them. AKV was the first choice as animal lovers.

I called late this afternoon just before closing for MS and asked for either June 11 or 12, first choice was AKV studio concierge. That wasn't available but a one bedroom concierge WAS available for both nights! That was more points than I was willing to give up so I checked on savanna view studios. June 12 was open! Yay!

Now I get to call the bride and tell her pixie dust must have been spread for her because they will get to spend one night of their honeymoon road trip in a savanna view room at AKV.
