So we're thinking of going to DW in June this year as soon as our oldest gets out of school. What's it really like at the parks in June? We don't mind heat and we don't mind crowds in moderation, as long as we're not standing around waiting for 3 hours to do something, ya know?!

Also, we've never done the waterparks before, but are considering it. Our kids will be 6 and 4...too young for DW waterparks?

Thanks for any advice you can offer up!! :wizard:

We've been the last two years in June. Early to mid-June is wonderful, imo. Of course, a lot of people don't like the Gay Days celebration, but it does not bother us at all. Last year we also went at Spring Break, and June was much less crowded (although I really did not think Spring Break was that bad).

Mid-to late June is much more crowded, but it is still fine with us. We get up early, have a plan and utilize fast pass as much as possible.

Our kids loved the water parks! Last year I was there solo with 3 kids--8 yrs, 4 yrs and almost 2 yrs. The 8 year old is kind of wimpy, so he was perfectly content to go on the family rides, play in the kids' areas, lazy river, etc. The water parks were well worth the expense, and we will always do them when we go for warm weather.

I took my dd in early/mid June 2008 and had a great time. I signed up for Tourguide Mike and followed his suggestions. It worked out great! We got to the parks at opening and were able to do everything that was on our "must do" list + a ton more stuff that I never imagined we could have done. We are going again this June and plan on using TGM again.

We went the beginning of June in 2005 (on site) and 2007 (off site). From what I remember, the crowds weren't bad at all, except at MK during "Gay Days". Even that though, didn't compare to our New Years trip in 2009! We'll be there June 1-June 6, 2011.

Our last few trips have been the third week of June. My DDs do not want to go during the school year so we go the week after school lets out. We are going again this June. The crowds are very manageable and the weather isn't all that bad. One year it did rain quite a bit, but didn't effect our vacation in any way. One year we went over Easter break and THAT was a nightmare
