June to AUgust discount

THREE different CM's.

Ok well, I guess I'd try a third time :) and yes indeed it is part of the promo, but there was only 1 of the 6 BWI deluxe rooms made available for this promo. (that 1 room on the promo is essentially "sold out" for now)

But here's the odd thing: the CM told me that the discount on 6+ nights for deluxe rooms for this promo is only 10% - not 35% . Looking at the availabilities for the WL for the same thing (# people, date, nights, etc) it also only shows a 10% discount, not 35%

Can anyone else confirm?

I can't confirm but only say that the nights are pro-rated. At least that is what I was told by the first CM. So as I posted somewhere recently, this is NOT a true 30%-35% discount.
Here it is from the start of another thread for June to August Discount-June-August 2014 Room Discount Complete Details:

OK thanks Juliehoey, much appreciated! So obviously BWI is not on that list.

Does anyone know if there's a chance of a true 30%-or-so discount becoming available around 4/2 like last year?

BWI would fall under the Deluxe resorts category, it's just not listed specifically. If it's not in the 'excluded' portion it's included. And it is :thumbsup2

I don't think there's much chance of another discount covering these dates, no. There are already 2 out.

It seems odd that the discount for deluxe rooms is only 10%. Disney's promotion specifically states that the Beach Club, Contemporary, and Animal Kingdom Lodge Savanna view/Club level rooms are 25% where the other deluxe resorts are 35%. Why did they not include a line for the deluxe rooms at 10%? I would call back and ask since the promotion does not state those rooms are 10% and ask to speak to a supervisor.

If you are interested the WL Deluxe rooms are available through Orbitz at 10% off (the same as Disney's website) and then when you put the Promo Code "Discover" in there is an additional 20% off. I checked for August 3-10 and it was available. This might be an option to receive a better savings. Good luck, I hope you are able to get a good deal.

BWI is getting 30/35% depending upon the number of nights.

Only things getting 10% are deluxe suites (and it's not showing a designation to resort) and Coronado suites.

The Disney servers struggled yesterday because of everyone hitting the Disney website for the Summer special. I kept on getting errors from the site but was eventually able to get through...

I booked the summer special for the Poly and was able to get 35% off because I'm there for 6+ nights. The thing that has me whacking myself in the head is the Orbitz specials...I booked through Orbitz for the Universal portion of our trip using their OUTTAHERE code for 15% off and I never thought to check their Disney prices. Around 2AM ET this morning I was reading the forums and saw the DISCOVER 20% off code and someone said they used it for Disney...I checked and sure enough they had discounted Poly rooms at the summer price and then the 20% off on top of that! It would have been around $500 in savings over my direct booking with Disney...since I had already booked and it was late (and I was tired) I figured that I would rebook in the morning...um....big mistake...they sold out of the discounted Poly rooms and are only offering the 20% off on the rack rate now. :(

They still have some discounted rooms for AKL,WL, GF and some others so check Orbitz if you haven't already. Hope this saves someone else some $. :)

That's what I was trying to book... deluxe (club-level) at BWI - should that be a 10% or 35% discount for 6+ nights?

.

Edit: if you compare the WL deluxe room non-discounted vs the summer discount, it comes out as about 10%

Disney's website lists the WL Deluxe club room as $699 non discounted, $629 with the Summer discount (Around 10% like you said)...Orbitz has 2 Deluxe Club level rooms listed, one with the normal price as $629 and the other $699. The $699 one is discounted to $559 a night...I don't believe taxes are included in any of the prices.

Then you're in the 10% category because of your room type. Not because of the resort.

Yes, this was for a deluxe room at a deluxe resort which was 10% off.

.

Why did they not include a line for the deluxe rooms at 10%?

Looking closer, they list it at the bottom of the page:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/special-offers/summer-room-and-tickets-discount/

Moderate and Deluxe Resort suites may be available at a lesser discount.

So.. any chance they'll be at a better discount later on? They've been available for 30% off the last two years.

Here's the conversation I had the other day on a different thread with Black562(who is amazing at giving a heads up on discounts!)since I was told by two CM's to check back in two weeks. We always have hope I guess::yes::

Also, they now have three promos running now: Memory Maker expires April 20, the current room discount promo that takes us through June 15 expires March 31, and the one coming out Monday that takes us through August 28 expires June 6.

I'm eyeing the end of the Memory Maker promo for many reasons, but mainly because it targets dates in September. The success or failure of that promo will do a great deal in the decision for the next round in September, which is why it ends so soon. Did you notice that the Memory Maker package conveniently ends just a few days before free dining launched last year for September? It's funny that a promo that runs through August goes all the way to June 6, yet a promo with dates going all the way into September ends April 20...unless another promo for September was lurking.

There's a rhyme and reason to my madness.

So in other words.. MAYBE.. there will be a true 30%-or-so summer promo available about the 1st or 2nd of April just like the last 3 years? I sure hope so.

Ditto ;0) fingers crossed. I wasn't able to get this one this time as there were no more rooms available for the promo. And I called first thing that morning as soon as I saw it. :0(

Here's yet another twist....a translation from Disney's Brazilian site. The dates coincide with the current Room Only Discounts we have here and it looks to me like Disney is trying to minimize attendance loss from the World Cup, which is being held in Brazil this year.

Keep in mind, this is an offer only on the Brazilian Disney Site at the moment.

I'm a little confused by the wording on the website;

Save up to 30% when you stay up to 5 nights
Save up to 35% when you stay 6 nights or longer
Plus, save even more when you upgrade to a Magic Your Way room and ticket package with minimum 6-day tickets!

We are staying 6 nights and purchased Magic Your Way room tickets for 6 days. What is the percentage discount I am receiving? I modified our reservation but we ended up having to upgrade as the normal garden view was not available. It seems kind of like a scam to me, as the discount is not really clear? I'm happy about the club level but if I'm not mistaken we could have saved more money. Can anyone clarify the last line of the sale (save even more when you upgrade)?

Thanks!

You get a bit off the tickets when you 'upgrade' to a package vs a room only.

I believe you get an extra park day for free if you buy at least 6 day ticket. So you pay the price of 6, but get 7.
