Hello! This is my very first post! :mic: This is such a fantastic place for help and info! :) I am planning a trip, DVC points at either BL or SS and have 2 choices: 6/21 - 6/29 or 7/5 - 7/13. we can handle the heat and have been to WDW during mid-June, August, September, May, November/December and February/March. How much of a crowd difference will there be in those 2 weeks and are there any "groups" more noticeably in attendance during one of those times?

Thanks so much! :flower3:

If it were me, I'd probably do the June dates... 4th of July is a super busy time to travel..

JUNE!!! We've been every month except November. July was the month that I refuse to go. The tour groups are there in force and we just won't do it again! :rolleyes1

We love spending July 4th at WDW. It has become our family's favorite time to go. My experience has been that the crowds are more noticeable on the 3rd at MK and the 4th at parks with fireworks. And to me they're a little heavier the week before than the week after. In fact we had a couple of mornings at parks right after the 4th on our last trip where it was pretty empty. The tour groups have not really been an issue for us.

None of that is scientific, just what it's felt like when we were there.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the 4th of July! Our boys Bdays are 7/4 and 7/7 so we tend to head down then. Be prepared for crowds, if you plan right you can avoid being frustrated with the crowd (there is no way to avoid the crowds). We do early mornings then about 1 pm back to resort for swimming, lunch and rest/naps for the kids. Then back out to parks around 6-7 pm and stay till 2-3 am closures!!! Kids love it!

We always go in July.

Disadvantages:
Heat
Humidity
Daily downpour
Crowds

Advantages:
All rides are open
All entertainment is active
The parks are open longer
Lots of Open Enrollment YES classes
Unique 3rd/4th of July fireworks

How to beat the disadvantages:
Get to the parks at rope drop (this is very important)
Take a midday break (important)
If your schedule allows it, go to the parks every other day

If it were me, I'd pick the June dates. I'd avoid the 4th of July crowds and the tour groups that show up in July. Either way will be hot so that's really not a factor in my opinion.

Which YES programs have you done in July? We've done the one at AK and Epcot. Looking at ones at MK and HS for this year!

Edited - didn't realize how old this was :o
