June or August?

I'm assuming June would be better, weather and crowd wise, but I would love your prof. opinions!
Also, I think it's a toss up between Holiday Inn or Travelers Explorer, which one have you been to, which one would you avoid? How soon would you book? Oh and where do I find the number to make PS and info on character meals?

I have never been but have been doing a lot of research. Unfortunately, I have made some mistakes in my planning so learn from me. I decided to make the HI a backup and by the time I decided to do it, the rate went up drastically. My guess is that you will find better rates on the internet at www.ichotels.com. I have read nothing but good things about the HI. I cannot say that about Explorers. My guess is that June would be better but it is a trade-off. I scheduled our trip for July 6-9, only to learn afterwards that nighttime festivities do not begin until July 10. I would also like to know about PS.

Are you staying at HI? Unfortunatly we haven't booked yet due to DH not knowing when exactly he can take vacation. I see all hotels need to be paid in advance.
I'm also debating about whether to just stay onsite.
Wonder what the pros and cons are...hmmmm

In August there will be greatly extended opening hours and fireworks most evenings, plus the weather should be better in comparison with June. Although the crowds will be higher, I think the overall atmosphere - especially in the evening - will be best in August.

Hi I am new to this forum, but have been to dlp loads of times.

it will be very busy in August as the kids all over europe will be off school. But June is also busy. I have been in may and that was the least busy that I have seen it so I think when ever you go long as you fastpass. You will be ok no better no worse really.
