June or August?

Planning our next WDW trip for 2010. For the first time ever, we will NOT be able to go in early December, our favorite time. DD is taking very challenging AP courses, DS is in first year of middle school, I have switched to FT work, and we are taking my parents, both teachers.

Our choices are the end of June -- school in our county lets out around June 20 -- or end of August (25-31) right before our kids go back. I figure it will be sweltering and crowded either way, but hot, sticky Disney is better than no Disney at all! Right now, I am leaning toward August, hoping to catch the first week of Free Dining if they offer it again next year.

Based on weather and crowds, what do you all suggest as the better time?
Any other considerations I should take into account?

We have gone the past 2 years at the end of Aug. I love it. It's hot but the crowds are very managable. Our longest wait last year was 20 min for Dumbo and Rock-n-roller coaster.

We are going back this year Aug 20- 25 and already planning for 2010 at the end of August.

August is prime hurricane season (Charlie swung by the day before one of our August trips) so planning around that can be tricky.

Definitely end of August. Very definitely. We went mid-August in 08 and early June in 09. August was so much better. And it will be even better later in August since many of the schools will already be back in session. Plus, August is value season and June is not - and they also usually tack on the extra fees to the buffets, etc. in June, but not August.

I would choose August over June.

My thoughts are more people go to Disney right when they finish school & in August alot of people are already back in school, but not us as we usually start right after Labor Day except this year since LD is late so we are starting Sept. 1st.
