Hi all :wave2:

After much discussion with my friends about our first trip together we have decided on a weekend in June as the original plan for August is hampered by family holidays.
So,before I book, can anyone tell me how likely it will be that the park stays open until 10p.m during weekends in June?
Having never been during this time I have no idea :confused3 ,so would be grateful for any info.
Thanks x

I don't know about later on in June, but we were there from 5th (Thu) to 10th (Tue) last year and I'm pretty sure it was open until 7pm every night except Sat and Sun when it stayed open until 9pm. We got EMH every morning though ;)

Thanks for the info :thumbsup2

Am hoping to be able to ride BTM in the dark, hence the hope of late opening.

I have emailed Disney, but more than a week on there's still no response:sad2:

We have always been there in June during the last years and there is a good chance that the Disney Park will be open until 10pm on Saturdays.

But even if the park is open until 10pm you won't have the chance to ride BTM in the dark. Because in France it starts at 9:30 to get dark in June.
So even at 10pm it is not really dark.

If you've emailed via the website, don't hold your breath for a response. I emailed them before my trip in June last year and still haven't had a response and I'm sure I've read of a few others that have had the same thing.

I would agree with this. It wasn't dark at all while we were there I'm afraid, not even on the late night.

Something just came to my mind: If you are able to avoid the weekends I would definitely do so!!!

Why don’t you have a look at the Saturday part of my TR from June 2006 here:

and you can also have a look at my picture in the post #2 here

So if I were you I would go in June because it is a great time to go. But I would go during the week.

Also agree with this. Saturday (and Sunday also) were heaving during our trip. So much so we actually went back to the hotel for a few hours over lunch time and mid-afternoon because we just couldn't do anything in the parks with 3 kids and such long queues. Weekdays were very quiet though and EMH were a godsend.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:eek:

Weekdays are out of the question as we are all teaching assistants at a junior school and I can't see the head teacher merrily waving us off mid-week during the school term :rolleyes1

Was there any reason why it was so busy? Were there any bank/school holidays during that time?

I know that there is no such thing as a quiet weekend but any ideas?

I am sorry to disappoint you but there were no school holidays or bank holidays.

All weekends around the year can be that kind of busy. We always have one weekend day included in our trips and all of them have been busy.

If you are there for a 4 days stay and one day is a weekend then this is manageable but if you are only there for a weekend trip this can be hard.

Last year in December there were even two weekends were Disney recommended not to visit the resort because it was very likely that the Disneypark would reach capacity. And I think they did reach capacity on these days.

Hi,

We are going in June and from what i have ascertained weekends will be open from 10am-10pm and weekdays from 10am-7pm. Extra magic hours occur every day from 8am-10am if you are stayin at an onsite hotel.

Hope this helps

There were no holidays at the time we went last year. I think the reason it's so busy is because, it's cheap, the weather's great and it's not peak season yet, so a lot of people expect it to be quiet but the majority of the shows etc are still on, making it the perfect time to go if you want a cheap trip with the most things to see/do. EMH was dead when we went, even at the weekend, so I don't think the hotels were fully booked or anything like that, think it was just the locals piling in at 10am. By the time Monday rocked round there was no one there again :confused3

Shame we'll have to come home on the Sunday night. Your reasons make complete sense-if I lived anywhere nearby I'd be there for LOADS of daytrips!:woohoo:
