June No Buy--Spring into Summer with a little extra cash

I am going to call it for tonight. Today was actually the opposite of a no spend day. DH and I had a camping trip this weekend, but we have cancelled it so that we can go and visit with may parent's labrador. He is 14 years old and they will probably be putting him down in the next few weeks, maybe sooner. DH couldn't live with not getting one more chance to say goodbye. So we cancelled the bird sitter and our camping reservation for the weekend, which means we will be saving $86 that we had planned to spend. Also, I sold something on eBay and will be getting $150 for that. So more money that I am putting towards our debt dumping.

I am pretty proud of myself this month. Thank you all! This group helped stop me from impulse buying something at least a few times and I really liked getting to know you all better. Looking forward to next month's thread!

12 - Spend. Got 3 tops, two work-worthy necklaces and a wooden cheese bin from Goodwill $16.43ish.
13 - Spend. Bought lunch $13.55 (will also feed me tomorrow). Need groceries this afternoon. ETA: Bought groceries, $5 in flashlights, $6 in waterproofing and a $17 ultralight tent for backpacking. $159 at the Blue Logo store.
14 - No buy!
15 - Spend bought 6 pints of blackberries (on sale and cheaper than I thought), along with various groceries of use. $52. Returned a tent so <27>. Net of 25 spent. That is crazy good for me walking into Target. No random "oh that looks cute" or "what a nice blouse on sale." $24 gas
16 - $229 - Lovell's Design Jewelry, which has been my go-to for jewelry for my mom (and for me) for about 15 years had a 50% off sale due to the closing of their Portland storefront (I guess they're going to online only). Sooo. . .I stocked up. . .for the next 3 years worth of presents. Short term spend for long term reward!
17 - $45 Dinner out, $78 groceries, $27 - Lunch and Diet Cinnamon Rolls (my Friday treat for sucking it up and going to WW to weigh in.)
18 - $50 Gift Card for Father's Day
19 - $16 assorted camping supplies so that I can go commune with the mosquitoes next weekend. $12 for seven 1L collapsible water bottles off Ebay. $40 antibacterial/antimicrobial underwear for hiking.
20 - $76 for 2 pairs of Propet shoes for my 84 year old mother whose feet are swollen so badly she can't get her shoes on. 100% necessity. Parents, love 'em while you got 'em. $8 - lunch out
Change to my No Buy - Gas and groceries are excluded from tracking, I kind of have to get those, nothing to be done about eating and driving to and from the job that pays my bills.
21 - NO BUY!!!!!!
22 - I fell off the wagon. I went to see the balance from the e-book settlement on Amazon. . .one thing lead to another. $53 for new trekking poles. They are normally $80 trekking poles, but were in the Warehouse Deals section. I am both and . Good - saved $27 on something that I needed. Bad - spent money when I am trying not to shop Amazon except on Sundays.
23 - $12 Dollar Tree, $10 e-book
24 - $91 - plants for a funeral $50 - Goodwill, but that's clothes for funeral visitation (higher end Dillards brands), 2 pairs of Clarks in my mom's new shoe size, one pair of combaty/ridery boots for cosplay, and 2 work blouses. $15 Walmart - underwear for clothes for visitation.
25 - $48 - lunch, $9 books at gift shop $10 - e-books
26 - $15 - book for work, $8 - hydration pack quick release nozzle
27 - $89 - backpack (Self-justification moment - this is the exact ultralight backpack I have been wanting and stalking on ebay and geartrade. It's $140 retail, $120 on Amazon. . .it's been in the Warehouse deals for $95 for about a week. I was weak and gave in. I got $6 for amazon pantry for choosing slow shipping, so $89.) $9 book for work. I am not even going on Amazon's website until next Sunday (Kindle store excepted for free books.)
28 - No Buy #3!
29 - $20 for a reel mower. Someone offered me one that he bought last year and used about 5 times. $8 thrift store - sheer net curtains & an REI gore-tex raincoat to keep in the car. $16 e-book. Okay, e-books are officially off-limits for 2 weeks. I don't care if it will answer the question to the meaning of life with flow charts and memes!

30-Spend--Ah, the best laid plans! The kids wanted to go spend their own money at Toys R Us and we ran a few other errands and stopped to get doughnuts and ice cream for this holiday weekend.
