June, July, August PLANNING thread

Hiya everyone,

These tix's are killing me. I think I caught the "alzehemiers". Can't remember. I expire my tix in 2 weeks. But I am trying to decide if I renew, I keep the date in "june" and if I wait pay the extra and just activate vouchures I have been hoarding for 3 yrs My date will be the august date we activate. Now, if they let me "activate" a renewel in august > I would just buy again and renew. They are not doing that extra thing 15 months for 12 months still are they? I am so confused.

I was looking over our ADR's too and look like I started hoarding there too. I need to weed. I am soooooooooooooooo not ready for
60 days!

Yes, C. Anthony trial >> bug is praying it is over and done with when we get to Orlando. I am driving her crazy. It is addictive. Been a little gruesome the last 2 days and I am a nurse. [nothing is gruesome to us]

Any of you guys eat at Citrico's? They have a new menu on deb's site and We love risotto. Any ideas about dress code? It does say dress shorts no tanks, and no graphic, t-shirts. > So is it ok for a nice t shirt and shorts? It will be august?

I believe you have a month after expiration to renew...however you'd have to pay the new price. I am pretty sure the renewal price goes up too.

I don't know about the 15 months...that would be a good question for elsewhere on the dis because then the additional charge might be worth it for 3 more months...not sure. I'd want to know the numbers.

If you have vouchers you won't have to pay the increase. Just activate and have the later date.

I would see what the different is for the renewal versus the new price and decide if 1.5 months is worth it...but then having tickets in hand complicates things...Disney is using your money.

just thought of something which makes it more complicated...can't you renew over the phone too? so you could renew at the lower price. My head hurts....

I am trying to not buy more tickets and I have two vouchers in my drawer and I am not sure we'll even go in 2012...how sad is that?

MKY- You will be fine with Dress shorts and a dress t-shirt. We actually have an ADR for Citricos for our Trip too !!
I haven`t looked at the new menu yet, but the Shrimp app is soooooooooooo yummy if you guys can eat shrimp
Glad we got our AP voucher this week ....YIKES about the ticket raise already ...I thought they raised the price usually in August !

forgive me ahead of time if you run into this post more than once... but look what I'M planning!! I can't tell any of the fam - so i'm sharing with y'all!

I had a t-shirt design made for our upcoming July trip - we will be celebrating our anniversary - I believe Penny or Shadowriter made the t-shirt design...
then and I ran across a post/pic of a cake...



So for our anniversary dinner at Coral Reef July 17 -- I'm having the cake re-designed.. to MATCH the T-shirt design - we will be wearing these for our day... The cake will be blue w/ silver stars - mickey-wedding bands overlapping on the top of the cake - with a banner "Jeff and Tracy - 12 Magical Years"... The silver bow on the top will be gone.

My DH and kids know NOTHING!! Not even about the t-shirts!!!

I'm so excited!! Can't wait to see the cake!

The box is temporarily misplaced at LS, but it always turns up and it seems to work better and not get lost if there isn't a long gap of time in between swaps.

Although if anyone was headed down and wanted to just bring a shoebox and start a new box that would sure be appreciated by lots of other DISers too!!

Thanks Tomar, no I will be having the risotto and then the risotto with chx. I just hate to drag, something special just to wear to dinner and not plan to wear it the rest of the trip, again. Not enough luggage for 2 weeks.

EE22, Well for now, planning on just using vouchures I have. If we get there and they are still doing the extra months, could be a last minute change. You never know. I think I need to use the vouchures. With stuff here at home, not sure if an ap will be needed in our future past this year. We are getting olddddddddddddddd.

Good plan mky on using the vouchers. Why let Disney keep using your funds!! There for awhile I had way too many tickets in hand...it was nutso!! At this point, we don't know when we will be back to WDW. The last time that happened I bought DVC so I hope it doesn't have the same impact on me

Got some good maps on Saturday of Chicago and read through my notes from our last trip there. Searched the downtown area...still have no clue where I am going my step mom sent me a website to check construction I will have to mapquest and travel the route to know where I am going. I can see it on the map, but no idea how to get to the hotel or DePaul yetI will do that tomorrow.

I didn't realize that using the I-Pass is cheaper too. She got me the toll rates. I noticed the tollway site has construction updates too. I'll be all stressed out before I even get on the road.

We even have to leave the corn a different way...some of the roads here are all torn up. REALLY ANNOYING! Michigan was the same way it seemed in the summer

Read tons of info on DL...on overload. I have to take along notes! it's so different from WDW, but great info on what to ride 1st, 2nd, etc and which rides to get fastpasses for first.

I feel more prepared, but still more to do. I did the dining correct according to all my notes and printed info so that's goodI'm such a DL rookie!

My son's 5th bday is July 20 -- we have Chef Mickeys for breakfast in the AM and Crystal Palace in the PM already reserved... so i'm not in panic mode...

but we'd REALLY like to alter our ADRs and reserve Chef Mickey's for July 20 in the evening ... if anyone BY CHANCE HAPPENS to cancel their July 20 dinner for Chef Mickey's.... will you let me know, please!!

Good thing I did that little packing two weeks ago...haven't been back to it yet...reading too much on two major events!

my co manager at work is going to disney next week with her 3 daughters. she was asking about reservations. she things were already booked up. I told her when she goes to check anyways... there might be a cancellation, and that Planet Hollywood holds most of their seating for walk-ins..
