:rotfl:about the baklava mky!! I make that every year for my mom and send it to her. She is picking up for you! I use to love it...no nuts for me.

Going to have to do some major research on trains to the Windy City that's for sure. Two friends here told me about the place you are talking about...and also there is a train stop about 1.5 hours south of here, but I think I'd rather go on 88 than two lane highway here in the winter:scared1:they just do not plow the roads well except on the interstate.

TP2: give your DD a big hug from the other person who cannot eat most of the items for Christmas. I feel for her:sad2:
I started off break with being really sick last night...went to bed around 6-7 pm and got up after 7 this morning. I'm not sure what I ate either.

Tomar: thank goodness for your Italian food or I'd have nothing to eat for the holidays!! I just hold all the cheese. I need to find bread crumbs that are dairy free...not going out today. Will look the next time I'm out. Everything seems to be cleaned out now anyway.

So glad you are getting close mky and Candi.

We had fog very bad for here last night so it all froze on the trees...looks pretty and so happy I don't have to go out in it either!

mky...I hope you are home today too...our 1-2 inches has turned into 5-8 and a winter storm warning. I think we already have 5+ from over night. I feel sorry for anyone on the roads or flying. I'm sure Ohare is a nightmare already or it soon will be.

Staff safe if you have to drive! Glad I don't have to go out. I made DD and DS come home early last night...snow started around 10 pm. ICK!!!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!

You're getting closer to warm weather too mky and Candi.

:santa:MERRY CHRISTMAS :santa:

EE22, yes I got cancelled for xmas eve. It was great! We had a wonderful day. Mom was really pretty good too. Had a few off moments but overall in the game. :thumbsup2 That is truely all I wanted for xmas. So Santa was on the ball. :santa: We got hit with about 5 more inches. It is starting to pile up. :confused3 The snow plow is working overtime.

Today, I changed everyone's bedding to the "new" fannel sheets they got from santa. Bug, cooked. and now we are watching tv's house hunters.
I taped the WDW xmas parade, but it didn't take. :scared1: Saw parts of it from room to room, but what happened to kelly & regis??? The later time was kinda weird too.

Back to work tommorrow. Hoping it is still not busy. Have a great weekend all. And enjoy your holidays!

mky:cutie:

i ordered my xmas presents to myself today. the other day at work i saw a mr. coffee Frappe maker. and instantly i wanted it. It would save me so much money in going to starbucks for my white chocolate frappe. so i ordered that and went about finding my white chocolate syrup. found the site for the DaVinci syrups. they have like 50 different flavors. so i get to some mixing of new flavors when i get the other flavors.

thank you! i will! i figured it out and in 14 uses it will pay for itself! and trust me i will use it.. lol...i wont have to go out for my frappes anymore.. or pay $5 per cup

Saving money at Starbucks is always a plus. I'm out of that arena since I cannot have milk and they charge even more for soy. Congrats on the buy.

GREAT gift from Santa mky:lovestructhat is wonderful.

We have a snow plow over turned on one of the roads here...I think we had nearly 9 inches by the time the snow plowed. Roads still aren't great with it being a holiday either. Hoping Monday is ok when we have to drive to Des Moines. Cold is coming now too mky.

FL is looking better and better!

im sure if you got the machine for home, you could use soy milk in it.. then you could make your own!

One of my students told me it doesn't taste the same though and drinking all that soy is also not a great thing either.:confused3There won't be much else for me to eat tomorrow so I might try a white chocolate moucha with soy milk and see what I think.

Merry Christmas everyone! :goodvibes

Sorry I am late but everyone has been sick the past few days and today was my turn.

My mom was sick with a cold virus on the 23 and 24 and then DD12 started on the 24th and I started yesterday and have been laying down all day. My head is so congested I can't stand it and my throut is killing me.

Christmas was still good as this will pass pretty quickly and hopefully will not develope into anything else.

MKY - I have not picked a hotel to stay in for the Friday night before the cruise. We are staying Thursday night at the airport since we get in late and I can save a days car rental if I pick it up the next morning instead.

We will be on the Disney Magic again from the 12th to the 19th.

I feel bad for the areas that got hammered with the snow and weather. The Detroit airport is a mess due to the other closings. Hopefully they will be able to clear up some of the back log very soon.

me and my sis are trying to decide on which resort to stay at and are town between two..

Animal Kingdom Lodge

Caribbean Beach Resort

both of them have things we would love!!

AKL: animals, we would be club lvl so all the extras that go with it.

CBR: beaches(yay!), good variety of food, pirate rooms ( we love pirates!) very big for our middle of the night wonderings..

we cant decide!! any ideas?

i guess everyone is busy with the holidays and family stuff.. and im the only one without a life.. lol...

Right now im home alone. I live with my mom, stepdad, and stepbrother. my mom and stepdad are both disabled so i help them around the house and with bills and such. my stepdad's mom is in the hospital she had 2 strokes and a heart atttack without 24 hours. So she isnt go so well. They all went up to wischsion, where he is from. so im here by myself for a while. cuz i still have to work. Gotta pay the bills somehow. besides i dont know her very well only met her like twice, and i dont do hospitals well.

i think me and my sis are leaning toward the Carribbean beach resort. For two reasons i am. One, its way cheaper. so we would have more money for other stuff, and to spoil her two boys! and two, the grounds are much bigger and with me and kay and our middle of the night walks.. it would be perfect lots of places to walk.. animal kingdom not so much..

I wasn't getting alerts from the thread and yes...very busy.

We love AKL, but we also really liked CBR when we stayed there on our first trip. There is an internal bus that can take you to the food court and the main pool. It can be a long walk. The main pool was re done since we stayed there, but my kids loved it when it was the old pool and now it's even better! My kids liked the beaches too even though we couldn't go in the water.

I am not sure where the pirate rooms are, but I've had two co-workers with kids stay there and they loved them.

We stayed one night in AKL and had club level, but I did it only for the safari. I am never in the resort so I am not sure I'd ever do it again just because of the cost. It is great there though at AKL that is for sure. Also, you are not assured of having a savanna view which I think was a huge mistake when they built that resort. I'd want savanna more than anything.

I hope things turn out ok with the family.
