YES IT WAS!!
We could not afford to stay there otherwise especially with 4 adults in a hotel room. We did that at RP for those two nights and it was okay, but we were never in the room and crashed we were so tired. Sleeping was not fun!

We are, but sometimes one of us skips a year. It's still fun to plan and learn stuff. I'll need major help with WDW again after a year off!

im pretty practiced. i went in 2009 with my sissy, and 2012 wiht my cousin, i did everything all the planning etc..

and now that i suggested to my sis we go again, long as she ccan get someone to watch her boys. im in planning mode again..

This is a great group to hang out with on the board.

MKY - this cold is coming straight from Santa's neighbourhood I think. Did you see how low that jet stream is this week? I am glad we did not pay to go to Disney this week. It was below freezing. We had -22 wind chills here this week.

We stayed a couple of nights at Vero Beach in March of 2009. It was nice but it is a bit of a drive and I don't want to go that far from the port. We are going to meet up with DD15s friends that have moved back to Orlando and we will probably stay till about 10 pm or so like we did the last time. We only see them once a year so we always have lots to talk about.

What day are you leaving in March? We are flying out the night of the 10th.

EE22 - be careful on the roads - take an emergency kit with you.

Did any of you hear about the closures on our Provincial Highways here? It was the worst storm I can remember.

DH spent 26 hours on one service call trying to keep the generator running....then he drove home instead of staying in a hotel. It took him nearly 3 hours instead of the 1 and 30 it should have taken him. I was so mad! Then I see the front page of our paper where the snow plows are in the ditch and stuck - I could have kick his butt.

Well we got up to 27 today! But, its snowing again.

Candi, You do live in the great white north..... You DH is just used to it. In March we fly on the 8th. friday morning. It really is approaching fast. Seems like I just got all my stuff from October picked up. Now that's a problem I can live with.

EE22, Good luck and be careful driving. Take your time. nice pic of disneyland paris. It was soooooo empty there so maybe we need to fly to paris. I could hear the people at work, "you go all the way to paris, and then you go to disneyland????????" No we have never gotten to wdw over xmas. We have been as late as dec 18th but that is it. Bug's b-day is dec 27th too. She would really love to go. Work is a real pain to get anytime in dec. and xmas is off limits. You have to get people to work it for you....... . I told bug, maybe if I worked someone's xmas shift's they would work NY's for me. We could fly down 26th? and make it for her bday. Would love to try it for a short stay once. I doubt anyone would work a xmas shift for me, to work ny's for.

JMouse, Relax, and have a hot chocholate. We love to plan. Great group. No tensions.

Tomar, they where good. I have them squirrelled away for xmas.

Dubuque has a ton of snow already and with those hills
As I thought...getting up that huge hill behind the dorm was a trick. I would not have made it without front wheel drive and then the second piece out of the lot...WOW. Ran the stop sign to make it! Lots of snow and drifting...just not fun. I wish I didn't have to endure another day this week, but I do

I heard about your storms Candi. My parents were driving home in that from Detroit on Sunday. NOT GOOD. Their 3.5 was 7.5...not good.

There is no other reason to go to Paris except for DL!!

I think when you went is better mky...after the 26th WDW is mobbed. But if you knew you'd do almost nothing and you were just there for the Christmas feeling then it would be good. I think it gets really busy after the 26th...people stay home on the 25th, travel the 26th so the 17th is packed. EPCOT was shoulder to shoulder people and NYE I guess is a nightmare.

thanx... i already consider myself a pro. Ive gone the past 2 years and done the planning all my myself both years, and have done it two different ways and really the way i did it the first time was better. dont know it that was just cuz of who i went with or what.. but it was better
