That is what happened to us in 2005. We booked 10 nights but then my parents came in the middle of the trip. We waited for them to do stuff, then they got there and my dad had a hard time navigating the parks. They were there for 5 days and we wound up skipping parks because he just couldn't make it. We checked flights to extend our trip and they were $79, not a big deal but first we needed a place to stay. So I called the front desk and they could not extend us at that point. I had to wait until the morning when reservation people were working. Next day I got the room extension and then go back to change the flight and the cost jumped to $129. Now it was all of a sudden a lot more money. So I feel your pain.

That stinks. SW does make life very easy. It is so simple to change things around. I can't believe that you have to fly into Sanford. I am trying to think of other options for you.

Hiya everyone!

EE22, Hmmm, looks like next time your looking at midway again. I know, I lucked out when we changed and our arrival from midnite to noon. It turned out the car didn't change much and our flight going was going up in price, but the return price dropped so it adjusted and i wound up at less than 10.00 for 12hr extra.

Still busy at work. The weekend went on for ever. I actually lucked out too > its my holiday off and weekend off so will actually get to celebrate on an actual holiday!

So what is everyone planning to do for the 4th? [ee22 packing, tomar and mky ironing and laundry, tp2 checking adr's again]??

mky: Midway has to be REALLY cheap for us to fly out of there on SW. It's a long drive so gas $$ And we'd probably have to spend the night on the way out so that's a lot of $$ for two rooms so the savings has to be significant. I'd probably go Air Tran first out of Moline. They fly into MCO. They cancel many of their non stop flights though too. They do allow you to move to another flight, but that would drive me nuts.

I don't remember what year we went...maybe 03...it was a wild trip with PRFQ closing, but maybe it was 04. We were flying ATA. They stopped their service to our airport!!!We had to go to Moline and fly through Midway and we flew into one of their small hanger areas and had to be bussed to the main terminal. Not fun.

4th of July...I'll be longing for the Mouse.

Good Morning ladies !!

well...as of this morning MKY and I are officially at 10 days !
EE22- your countdown says .... 4 days !
Ive been looking at the last minute car rentals ....WOW !...what a HUGE jump from last year !!!....It used to be a fact, that toward the week before your trip, you were able to snag a better car deal....NOT THIS YEAR ! ......I ran some numbers last night....WHOA ...up in the 5 and 6 hundreds !! NO WAY !
I`ll stick to our original ressie with Budget!....I was hopeing for Alamo (to pick out our own "Chariot" ....but.....NOT at those prices !!
Haven`t mentioned anything to you guys....but....I haven`t been feeling too well lately...and yesterday I went to the Asthma doc.....Sooooo ...Just as I suspected....I have a Broncial Infection ...AGAIN !!!.....I have 10 days to go ,and Im on Augmentin 875 mgs. and of course the Prednisone again !! OMG....Im gunna be a NUT on that med !!....At least I have 10 days left to deal with it !!!....
Im almost finished packing ....hope you gals are too !!
TP.....did you get your luggage out yet ?....How are the Princesses ?? I bet they are getting excited !
June 26th was our Perfectly Princess`s Birthday...she was 3 years old !! ....Her mommy and daddy gave her a Princess Party....
We sent her a charm bracelet with one of "Nana`s" charms attached to it .....so she can remember her Great Gramma forever
I can`t believe the 4th of July is this weekend already !!! WOW !!!

Tomar...so sorry you are not well...probably due to the very cold spring you had this year?Rest up and get well.

I cannot believe today is July 1st. As a teacher that goes back to school in August...we always say that on July 4th...summer is over. DL11 even said that by the time we get back...summer will be gone.

Time always seems to fly now though. I look back at this last school year and it just disappeared before our eyes.

Think Happy Thoughts for us on Sunday with a midnight check in...not sure how that's going to go!

Tomar: So sorry you are not feeling well. DD5 was sick the same way about 1.5 weeks ago. Doctor said it was from all the rain. The mold spores were really high. Hopefully you will feel better with the weather clearing. Although, we have rain again today. I have really had it. But I have to say that 4 days straight of sun was amazing.

EE22 and TP2- thank you for your good thoughts !! ....Im taking the worst meds Id want to take now ( Prednisone)....but if It does the trick....I`ll be Better when we leave for the world ...that is the main thing !!
sorry TP about DD5....the Asthma doctor`s office was "Standing room only" yesterday !!! ...so many people are sick because of this NUTSO weather we`re having....it was thundering and lightning this morning.....
Did I tell you guys Im sooooooooooooooooooooooo sick of this weather ???!!....Yes...TP we had about 3 days here that I wish I could have Bottled up and saved !!...then it got ICKY again !

Hiya everyone,

Noooooooooooo, your all not allowed to get sick now. I am sure its the weather. Tomar, your right about the steroids. Ugh. I turn into the wicked witch of the midwest on prednisone. If I am not argueing > I'm eating. They are the worse. Try to get some rest / sleep. I know its hard on asthma meds. But, you have 10 days to get better. Do you guys use a peak flow meter? It measures your breathing. You blow into it and a guage tells you the reading. You track your reading > and can tell when they start fluctuating that your headed for trouble. >> meaning start your meds and treatments earlier. TP2, some kids can do these and some can't. making a game out it is usually the best way. They are cheap plastic meters not expensive.

We have been threatening rain for the last 3 days. But, its cold. 64 high here today. It is july 1st right? Suppose to start getting better tommorrow. We will see.

Yes, the summer is flying by. Especially since we are waiting for the heat. I think we will find it in florida.

Wow single digits - that is awesome everyone

I have great news! We finally decided on the WL (DS's choice ) and I managed to book all our nights at a great rate Totally awesome CM worked magic last night and the rate was even lower than what I had with a pin code some how

We also booked our airfare so we have plans

Need to get over to TGM and make plans so I can figure out ADRs and something special for DS's 16th b-day any suggestions to make it special

Great news Minnie. Be sure to try the online adrs on the Disney site. Works great! I changed a few...added a few for our trip. Since you are under 90 days it should be easy...I find the dining link at the bottom, left hand side to be the easiet to get through. Don't put too many in your cart before you check out and then it emails them to you as well if you want. Very cool. I bit difficult to get around at first, but better than sitting on the phone.

Wow!!! I can't believe we are all so close! I am sigle digit WEEKS away.

I feel like it is really so close. I guess you can say I started packing. I started to hang clothes up on a temporary rack in the attic. DD5 has 3 Belle dresses. She said I should return one to Disney Store.

Thanks for all the well wishes on the trip. We are really looking forward to returning to our favorite resort. The rates for the other resorts were tempting but.... we can always go visit the resorts and then come back to our resort

Tomar, 1 week! We are so totally excited. Now, when packing be sure to include pic's of your boys & We will bring a Hope your starting to feel better. Are you weaning yet off the steroids?

TP2, I need to still get our suitcase down. But, I did the same thing with my closet. Sorted it out already. Now, I need to iron some shorts. In the dresser they get a little "bent" Hope the girls where all feeling better, for the holiday!

Tomar: So sorry you are not feeling well. I hope you are starting to get better. There is nothing worse than being sick when the weather is beautiful and you have a trip (that is very much needed) coming up.

MKY: I know exactly what you mean about the crinkled shorts. We probably live with the same closet and drawers. I gave up and bought under bed bins. It helps out a bit.
