Hiya everyone, WOW seems I like I missed alot.

Tomar, So glad princess: is doing better. The codiene might be bothering her, I would start laying off it too. As long as she is drinking she should do fine. pixiedust: pixiedust: Your right, I did find SSR to be relaxing, just wanted to "feel" more magic all day.

TP2 Good luck with the ear infections. That is alot to deal with, adding on a birthday,& ear tubes. You are one busy :bride: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

EE22, We got your weather.:sad2: Roofs are blowing off up in chicago, and it is coldddddddddddddd. Expecting snow. The snow race is on! Looks like we will have a taker soon.

Candi, You are getting so close. All plans set? You must be getting excited.:dance3: :cheer2: :dance3:

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Bug, took care of all our adr's [well at least thru the 22nd]:thumbsup2 Seems like we got everything. She said the adr lady, asked if anything else, and bug, mentioned isn't there somewhere to email about food allergies etc.. > and the adr lady said "she could take the info and it is then in the computer with all your adr's" So make sure you guys give info when making the adr's.

mky:cutie:

Tomar: Yes, we had thunder and lightening.:scared: Crazy storm for the end of October. So glad to hear that the princess is doing better. It has been over a week so she has been through her share. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a new healthier life for her.

EE22::lmao: :bday: :bday: party: :bday: :bday: :lmao: We have to give you a few extra! I agree with Tomar. It is the one day that whatever I say goes. To a point of course. But I got DH to go shopping this year. He never goes shopping.

Thanks again for all the good wishes for DD4. I think we are finally on the road. She is letting us do the nasal spray so hopefully it will help with the fluids to keep back further ear infections. Asthma has been under control this year too. Good behavior. Can't ask for more.:goodvibes

MKY: Glad you got all you wanted. I keep going over rates for different hotels but I have to just sit still. I would love to go earlier instead of later so we shall see what happens. Free dining in December is unheard of so I guess I should not think that there will be no discounts in July.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
We have snow on our deck:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

DS wore jeans when he went to the show. They don't have school tomorrow. I wish I didn't.

Forgot to tell you that I did get new lights in my classroom and the heat finally worked after they came and fixed it again.

EE22: They cancelled school tomorrow because of the snow???? How much longer until you can move? Time to get out of there.

No, they had the day off all the time:goodvibes it's not that much...just a dusting, but it's the idea of being before Halloween. I remember one year though DH had to take an umbrella to keep the snow off the kids...it was coming down wet and heavy.

11 more years here:headache:

My signature works again!! YIPPEE

If you are watching the news...McCain has on a winter coat and he's north of here about 50-60 miles:confused: BURRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lows in the 20's for this time of year are NOT fun.
I hate how dark it is in the morning too:mad:

We have a winner!;)
EE22, has snow.:thumbsup2 sorry, glad its you and not us, but I have a feeling it is heading this way.

TP2, Yikees, free dining in december, I am behind. Sounds like we might get lucky. I feel that pins thing too > this airfare thing is worrying me, but I am sitting on my hands.

Tour guide mike update: still has not done march:idea: :scared1: Definately last time I do that.

mky:cutie:

MKY: Free dining in November and December for Disney Visa holders. Crazy right?!?!?

Hold out on the flights. You will be so happy that you did. It makes me crazy too but you will be so glad when it is over and you have all that extra money for souveniers!

EE22: Glad you don't have that much snow but my goodness this is early. I can't believe you are stuck there for 11 more years.:scared: MORE VACATIONS NECESSARY!

So now that DD4 is feeling better, probably for the 1st time in her short life, she won't SHUT UP! I guess that is a good thing but she is still awake and full of energy. I don't know what to do with her.

:lmao: I am glad DD4 is feeling better:banana:

I am on the Jan code watch thread and they think codes will hit this week for Jan...not sure how far out they will go.

It's COLD here. When DS wears jeans...it's cold!! Our winter is suppose to be worse than last year:confused: I only wish I could take more vacations...with the kids in sports...that won't happen:guilty:

EE22: I hate the cold weather. I can survive better in the Florida heat than in the cold. You have my sympathy.

Glad to hear the January codes are finally expected out. It is getting pretty late and January is usually a pretty slow time. My guess would be January, February, March with lots of black out dates. But that is just my guess. Probably way off but I guess we will see this week.

Do you remember if the Fairy Tale package was offered in June? I remember going out to dinner for DH birthday, which is June 1 and that package was the topic of conversation. It had come out about a week or so prior and I was watching the rooms book up. That was before I knew all about codes and the frenzy that goes on. I remember being so mad because he still would not go, even with the great prices. He felt the kids were too young. But my point is, if I remember correctly we would have been able to go when school let out at the end of June. I may be way off though.

Good afternoon everyone!

TP2 I tried to search the fairytale pkg and buy 4 stay 7 etc.. . and could only get "wedding" :confused3 Looked on deb and mousesavers. Thought your dates might be archived.

EE22, Looks like change > weather today says 40's and increasing to high 60's by friday. Hoping for a nice halloween.

Hope everyone has a great week. mky:cutie:

Hi MKY: I wound up doing a search and after about 10 pages found an old page from a travel agency. Travel period was July 4 - October ? In reality, the price was not that great. Maybe something was off but it was $499 per adult and $242 for kids (if I remember correctly but in that range) for 7 nights in a value room with the ultimate park hopper. When I did the math, we come out better with 40% off room code. I guess because of the way the MYW tickets are now. Back them there was not too much of a discount for longer stays. Now, once you hit 4 or 5 days, the rest are only pennies more. I remember thinking that it was such a great price and now I am not as impressed. It may also have to do with the pricing on values. Maybe more of a discount on Deluxe properties. That was the way I had priced it out back in 2003. First YC and then decided to go for it and plug in GF. Just dreaming of course!

TP2 Hmmm, I always believe I am better off with a 40 or 30 % off room code. Even better than the meal plans free. We eat very cheap at wdw. Its not hard to do. For meals we like to split meals, and have 1 appetizer and / or 1 dessert. Eat popcorn for a meal.;) popcorn:: :confused3 Or sometimes we eat kids meals. Especially works with fast food. I like the mickeyronni with cheese, and sis like the corn dog nuggets. But we have been to almost all resturants and split a meal or if sis really doesn't see something she orders off kids, or eats soup or salad for entree. You can be pretty frugal if you want. So I think if we get if off the room, I can work around dining. Have you ever figured out which way you actually save more? Using dining free vs. room charge? Maybe with so many kids and staying value it works out, but with 2 of us, it doesn't make sense.

mky:cutie:

I figured it to be cheaper to get the 40% off room discount. The dining plan for our family would cost close to $2k for 2 weeks. We would never spend that much on food. To get it free is nice but it also limited our vacation by making us plan everything out. Also, you feel that you have to spend those points in order to get the full value. DH was so mad because I brought home snacks. The kids love it because they had rice crispy treats as snack in school but it was a bit annoying. I did do a spread sheet and the cheapest way for us to go was a decent room discount. I figured the price of the dining plan in too. We would each pick one sit down place to make ADR's and the rest of the trip we would wing it. I am with you, we share meals easily. How are they with letting you share a meal in a sit down? We do it at counter service but I thought sit down would be strict. We usually get 3 kids meals and a large salad. We all share and have enough. We also like to snack and one of my kids favorate parts of going to Disney is eating Popcorn for breakfast.popcorn::

We usually ask if we could have ... whatever.... and an empty plate, we are going to share. We have done this at brown derby, gf cafe, mama melrose, chef de france, tony's, wolfgangs, planet hollywood, sci fi, & probably everywhere. At some of the places they actually divide the sandwich in half, and half the chips and serve on 2 plates. I actually think the most expensive meals are our buffets. Not a big buffet eater, and we go for the character experience.
Sometimes at counter service, I will say to bug " what do you think joey will drink?",,,,,..... Oh, our kids are over there and point to a crowd. :rotfl: :rotfl: I am sure they know your lying but; ok. We also save money grazying at the "bar" at tommorowland terrace. I love tomatoes with sweetner, or pickels. ;) We buy 1 sandwich and get the works.:lmao: :lmao: I also love cheese with fries. that is more of a meal.
But sometimes: capt's ff at poly > the "adult" grilled cheese > is a weird bread, with 5 different cheeses, and a side of styrofoam chips. > would rather get the kids, which is std grilled cheese, with fries. It should be a choice to get either, if we have to be devious, I will.:upsidedow :rolleyes1
I won a contest once for wdw, and got the free meals, it was all day running to resturants, and not changing plans, I agree with you. People get so into this free dining thing, and I wish wdw would drop the whole thing. :cool2: Although, I also think march is going to get passed over alot with black out dates. Looks like the people getting pin codes, march is picked apart. Will be hard to cover my 2 weeks.:scared1: So, I am not expecting much.

Guess, we will have to stay tuned. Just waiting and watching.:dance3:
mky:cutie:

MKY: I am so glad that we spoke about this because that is always our problem. TS is too much food and it is not like you can take the leftovers for later. There are a couple that I want to do even if we are paying oop. We still have not been to Chef Mickeys and DD4 needs princess stuff. I am thinking I would rather hit BBB at the Castle instead of eating there. I think they rush you so much that you can't enjoy the meal and the time with the princesses. Norway was much better and may be the way we go again this year for a princess meal. The kids asked for Sci Fi, all the complaints on these boards and my kids loved it. I would hit Le Cellier, my whole family loves steak. I can take it or leave it but a must for everyone else. I also agree with the kids meals. Sometimes I want the chicken tenders and the adult portion is too much food. Also, it comes with a drink. Well, this has definately opened up a lot of doors for me. DD4 does not eat so it is always a waste to buy her food and DD7 wants steak and that is usually not offered on the kids menu. Gives us a bit more freedom.

I agree!:wizard: ;) Alot of people yipe about scifi:confused3 it is usually our must do. And its usually twice or 3 times a trip.:wizard: I love just sitting in there with an appetizer. Its cool, you have a movie to watch, it is dark, comfortable. :wizard: Who are these people? There is always a mob in there and asking to get in there. Now, chef mickeys I find spotty. But that is entirely cause we have no kids. I watch the characters with kids and they seem fabulous. The wait staff, only brings drinks so not too much they can do wrong and the food is home cooking. What is not to love. For the fab 5 this is THE place. I totally believe the castle is over rated. My b-day there for dinner last year was nice [of course max acted up], but the food is way over priced and the service was pleasant but rushed. We went to the castle breakfast a few years ago and that is way over priced. Characters are very rushed and its so noisy in there. Was not pleasant and we ate and left.
For a real nice meal: we like chef de france, gf cafe, the gf tea, loved the concourse steakhouse, planet hollywood, and wolfgangs (but this year, not so great). Character: garden grille, cause it is not a buffet, its family style. this year our really nice meal: [tomar suggested] narcoosee's. I already know I want surf and turf. and it is very expensive. :cool2:

mky:cutie:

Sci Fi is one of our must do's as well. We do lunch.:goodvibes

Is the Garden Grill gone to no character or did they just cut lunch...I can never remember!
