Tomar: So glad to hear that the princess is finally feeling better. Wow! almost 2 full weeks. Almost better you did not know that going into it or else they may not have done it. Now that it is over her overall quality of life will be so much better. I am sure you know that already but sometimes it is hard to see clearly when a loved one is involved.;)

Thanks for asking about DD4. She is doing much better but the medicine is bothering her belly. Never easy around here.:goodvibes We will survive though. Just knowing what the problem is makes things easier to cope with.

TP2-....Yes.....we are all so happy that the princessprincess: is finally back to her happy self.....it DID take a while...yes....but having the knowledge that MKY gave us about the length of time (give or take a week) it eased my mind.....alittle  ;)
Awwww....Im sorry that the medicine is bothering DD4`s tummy.....:sad2:
Sometimes what helps one thing...bothers another....grrrrrrrrrrrrr:headache:
WE had SNOW here the other day....not what MKY saw on TV....(didn`t stick)...but I saw snow....:scared1: ...Counldn`t believe it !!:scared: ...I hope this isn`t the pelude to what winter will bring !

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo about the 40% discount !!!! :cool1:  :cool1:
I hope you can take advantage of it TP !

Tomar: I pray that we are not in for a bad winter. I really don't like the snow or the cold.

The AP code out only covers January - February 12. It is just nice to know that decent discounts are coming our way. Keep fingers crossed for the end of July. I would love to go earlier instead of later this year.

HappyHalloween!!!! I worked on my costume last nite: Darth Vader :darth: Black boots, slacks, gloves, shirt, cape, bought the face piece [1.99] and made chest piece. I used 2 old black dresses[circa 1980] and cut them up for top and waist pieces. :rotfl: Someone has too much time on her hands. >>> the kicker: I got cancelled at 5:30am for work and put on call. So no where to wear it.:rotfl2: Guess, the halloweeners will have an extra treat. :dance3: if I don't scare them.

WOW, ap discount out for 2/12 means I should be next for march.
Mky needs a discount, having buyers remorse over resort tab. I know, I know > DVC.

TP2, and Tomar, So glad the princess: princess: are doing better. Just in time for the big nite.

EE22, did you dress up for school?

Candi, that is interesting about jet blue, but they don't fly from here to orlando. I already checked. We are holding out that they start coming here.

Geez, hope work doesn't call me in. I don't feel like it now.

Have a great nite with all the little ones. :cheer2:

Happy Halloween!

It was the first year DD10 did not want to come home at the first sign of a scary house.

I am glad to hear the kids are feeling better.

MKY - I sent you the note because the car rental prices for March were pretty good. I did not even look at the airline info.

Well our dollar had dived over the past month. Good for the work here (our auto sector needs the dollar around $1.20 - $1.25 US) but the vacationer in me hates it. My cruise will not cost me an extra 20% more because of it.

I would have loved to see you as Vader at the hospital....that would have been a huge hit with the kids.

I hope everyone enjoyed the evening.

Happy Halloween Ladies!
Haven't read up on the thread.
I'm not sleeping so I'm in survival mode.
Hope you are all well.

hiya everyone,

Hope everyone enjoyed Halloween. We had a hoot, dressed up and giving out candy. The weather 70's and sunny. Change the clocks tonight. So I get to sleep in an extra hour, before work:banana: tommorrow.

EE22, I wish, you could solve that sleeping problem. You need to turn your mathematical mind off. Your too high functioning. > or your worrying about discounts at wdw.:wizard: :lmao:

Candi, well yea and sorry. Both good and bad, your divided. popcorn:: Shouldn't your cruise be priced at what you bought it for? Seems weird to raise the prices cause of the dollar fluctuates. Glad to hear you have halloween there too. Might just be a north american holiday? I couldn't figure out the car prices, maybe the attachment didn't send everything? on the email.

Work was slowwwwwwww today, for october. 5 patients this am and went down to 2. Guess, I will have to wait for the next cold front.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, mky:cutie:

Hi Everyone

Halloween was weird this year. The weather was incredibly nice. As a Canadian you usually have to plan a costume that will fit over your winter coat! :lmao: It was a Friday night, the weather was great and yet we had half the kids we normally have. :confused3

I do believe it is just the US and Canada that trick or treat like we do. In Mexico they have the day of the dead, which is a big party....not sure what Europe does. I will have to check in with our Wales friends and see.

The cruise is based on the price we booked at but it is in US dollars. So at the time we booked the dollar was at $1.10 Canadian to buy a dollar US. Then it went to $0.96 cents Canadian (not for the first time in history in case you did not know) to buy a $1 US. This week it was as high as $1.33 Canadian to buy $1 US but today it was back down to $1.22 to buy a $1 US. I am hoping it stays around $1.20 at the most until we pay, I can handle that.

So for every $1000.00 US we still owe on the cruise, at 20% exchange, it would cost me $1200.00 Canadian. If it goes up to $1.30 it would cost $1300.00 Canadian.

EE22 - do you cover the currency exchange in any of your classes? There is a big difference between exchange and discount rates and I get frustrated when the people charging the rates don't have a clue what the difference is.

If you discount the money by 20% it cost more than if you charge 20% exchange. For example - 20% exchange costs 1.20 to buy 1 (1 x 1.20=1.20). If you discount the 1 by 20% it costs 1.25 to buy 1 (1 / .8 = 1.25). So it cost 5% more. You have to pay the discount on the extra money it takes to buy the $1 and it is also discounted by the same % - thus the extra 5 cents per dollar. yet? :teacher:

I love Economics and Math when they come together....:cloud9: .....boy am I a nerd or what? :rolleyes1 :upsidedow

60 days till January 1st and our trip! Hard to believe the whole holiday rush will be over in two months time...:scared1: So much to do!

This is a great thread but it is just so big! Is there a seperate thread for July 2009 trips? :upsidedow

Hi...We met back in 2006 when we were waiting for AP codes. We have all gone pretty much every summer since and we just keep planning year after year. We have gotten to be pretty chatty...as you can tell.:goodvibes

Hiya everyone, Whew another weekend worked > now I am off the next two. This new schedule I am working 2 on and 2 off > is weird. I am getting so confused. It was way to beautiful here this weekend too. But tonight I saw 2 houses with christmas decorations they put on this weekend > yes, a good idea But plug them in already ??? and its 70 outside.;)

Candi, you lost me on the exchange rates. But, I when I am in a casino > I have trouble figuring out how much 80 quarters is to win.:rotfl: We usually have the same costumes here too> a mask and your winter coat with a long dress peering out underneath.:scared1: Not this year all the Hannah montana's outfits where in full bloom.

TP2, your right we plan a little and chat alot.:thumbsup2

Hope all the princess: are doing well.

EE22, hope your sleeping better.

Tomar, I priced out SSR, for the ap rates in jan /feb but that is still a bit cheaper season than march. You never know.

Have a great nite all, mky:cutie:

Good Morning Ladies !:goodvibes
I hope everyone had a good weekend !!
Mky- I saw the SSR AP rates for Jan and Feb....studio rates are great !:goodvibes I never seem to be able to take advantage of them...since we use the DVC discount when we pay cash for a weekdend stay ...so that the ressie is linked to one....oh well ...any discount is good I guess...it`s not as deep as the AP one...but it`ll have to do !!:cloud9:

TP2- Hope the girls enjoyed Halloween !!princess:
The Perfectly Princess was dressed up as "Elizabeth" the little pirate !

Candi-your trip is getting very close now !:woohoo:
AND.......
EE22- HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I can't believe you found that. Those pictures are amazing. Definately gives me a good idea of what we would get. Dh said last night that we are going the least expensive way possible. I have a feeling staying at the cont is a pipe dream and we will be staying at 2 value rooms.:rolleyes1 At least we are going.

Okay...So I was just playing around with the UK free dining offer. I plugged in 2 weeks in August, staying at Cont, with free dining and ultimate park hoppers 14 day ticket. Total came to $4956US. Can that be? We are converting UK pounds, correct? Seems cheap considering AAA rate came to almost $4k without tickets or dining. How can that be? Am I doing it wrong?

Sorry, think you need candi's or ee22 help. science not math is my strong suit.:confused3 ;) Now price out the trip separately not the package, and figure where you are. I would be interested to see the price comparison of 14 day tix vs. and ap. Is there a way to use the ap twice? ie= go 2 weeks earlier next year so you would not have to buy tix. I know before we bought ap's I wasted alot of tix money. Just something to think about.:wizard:
