Hiya everyone!

Tomar, Yes, we are very excited, too. I picture myself in the bed at CR or Poly when I turn my lights off. Or pretend when I am washing my hair in morning, we have to hurry to get to mk at opening.... . Makes life a little nicer.;) Are you stopping off at the princess first? Do we over lap at all in july? We don't get there till the 31st? Or will you be home already? Your driving? At least you won't have to worry about luggage.:worship: Sis (bug) is doing better, sugars are really low. She said its nice not having to pee as much.;)

EE22, Your right with Tomar, Hopefully school is ending well and you can start packing. Are both kids going down again with you? Or do they have special activities this summer?

TP2, When is your trip planned for? We need a counter.;)

Candi, Welcome back, missed you. Europe sounds wonderful. Sis told me that "you can plan for march, but keep in mind in the next 5 years, we are going to europe. Although I piped in = I want to do it as a disney adventure or at least Euro= disney or whatever its name is now. :rotfl: We will see, this is her request not mine. I am happy with wdw and an occ. disney cruise.;)

Silvermist, Congrat's on your disney trip. Sounds like the kids are excited and helpful. Have a great summer and trip.

We have set up our Limo for airport, and not sure about packing with plane. Might try to get it down to 1 checked bag, only bringing clothes. Not sure if that will work. Maybe sis and I will share a 2nd and just take 3 total. I have enough trouble staying less than 50#.:confused3

Happy Planning, mky

How many times do we hand a camera to someone to take a group picture for us - I did this at the Trevi fountain in Rome - the poor women tripped - cut her arm and SMASHED my newest camera! :faint: :faint: :faint:

OMG no!!!!!! Oh sending tons and tons of :wizard: that your pics still come out :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

MKY: I NEED that 40% off code. :wizard: I was quoted a price of like $10k through Disney for 12 nights.:faint: I guess they were sold out of GV rooms so they upgraded me. I will stay offsite for that kind of money. I did look at some of the townhouses again. I am afraid I will feel like I am missing out on something though if we stay offsite. It will all depend on those codes but thanks for any help. I really want to stay at Poly but we shall see.

We stayed off-site in a townhouse last July when we couldn't get an AP rate. I can highly recommend the owners and the townhouse we stayed in so if you decide to give it a shot PM me and I'll send you the link to their website. Very clean and extremely well furnished and about 5-10 minutes away. I enjoyed the townhouse and it saved us a ton of money over a rack rate. In fact the difference in price basically paid for our APs so we get 3 trips on the APs!!

This year we are back on site staying at the Beach Club :cool1: If we'd hadn't got a good rate we'd stayed offsite again.

MKY - I loved the tip about picture you are in the room! I should try the shower trick - I might get to work on time more often. I live 8 minutes away and am always 5 minutes late! :rolleyes1 I blame it on the traffic :lmao: :lmao:

The pixie dust worked again and the photos are in good shape! I took 1030 pictures :hyper:

I had leant my older digital to my mom for the trip so I have to admit I confiscated it after mine bit the dust! I did look at the stores we passed to see what they had, but the stores had 2-4 to pick from :confused3 It is not like it is hear and you have 40 to pick from. A new camera is now on my list before the trip to Disney in July. :scared1: This line of credit just keeps growing.

Everyone is getting to the busy part of planning their summer trips. Now is when the fun really starts. Right now I am still out of sorts from lack of sleep so I will sign off for now.

Candi, Hope you get some much needed rest. You must of had a great time. Now, just keep them suitcases out, July is just a couple of weeks away. :cool1: Can't wait for the pictures. ::yes::

The news here tonight, is saying that United is cutting flights, and laying off again. To "look for big changes" :stir: This can't be good. Starting to think we should drive down in March. Anyone ever drive cross country in a VW bug? Something to think about. I am getting so tired of the airport BS and rental car worries. Hmmmmm, time saved vs. $$$? Gosh, wish we lived closer to wdw.

mky:cutie:

Hey guys ....... wow, I have to come back & read ...... LOTS of posting w/o me! :surfweb: I'll work on that tomorrow. This has been a HECTIC week for me & I'm soooo tired right now, it's all I can do to keep my eyes open.

Oh - we've had a slight change of plans ...... we are now staying @ POR our 1st 3 nights in July. We got an AP rate!!! Woohoo! :cool1: We were going to stay at GF, but we got a code for POR & can stay 3 nights there for (bascally) the price of 1 at GF!!! This year, it's all about the budget ......

Okay - coming back tomorrow ....... g'nite .... :faint: (that's me falling into bed!)

Hi Minnie: Yes, I would love that link. I have an e-mail folder with a short list of the homes that I like for prices I am willing to pay. It is nice to have a recommendation though.

Mouseaddicts: I would go for POR too.:thumbsup2 I would much rather stay for 3 nights than one. That is why DH is now pushing ASM on me again. We can stay for 2 weeks there. I would be happy with 12 days at Poly.:hyper: I need a GOOD code though. Otherwise it is 2 rooms at value with a code and rental car or offsite if no codes come out. If Poly I would skip the car as we would be on the monorail. Oh to dream.

Candi: When DH and I travel we always bring more than one too. He has a big one with lens and I have the small pocket one that is easy. We need to replace that one this year. Let me know how it works out. I want a small digital with fast shutter speed. Hating the wait for the camera to be ready to take the shot. Always lost the picture I wanted.

Hiya everyone!

Hope you guys are all catching up. We have to start rooting on our June and July friends! Go EE22 & Tomar, with Candi right behind ya.

Candi, Great 1st pictures! It is beauitful there. Totally different from disney;) What a great trip.

TP2, Sounds like you have converted DH!:wizard: He is coming to the dark side::yes:: :lmao: Hmmm, wants to stay on property, when your thinking all frugal.:thumbsup2 Oh yeah, he is converted. :woohoo: Will keep our eyes open for codes.::yes::
Thanks for the heads up on Marshall's I will check them out here.

Mouseaddict's you are too funny. Which POR? is that riverside? aka dixielandings? We love Partetee' Place water view / pool. Has its own bridge to main buildings. Very quiet location. Ask for a "corner room" and get 2 windows and a view.::yes:: :) Unless you need the trundle bed, then your in bayou. I can smell the magnolia's now.

Well, since the United airlines news yesterday, cuting out TED airlines, and cutting staff, flights, planes..... We are VERY serious in driving in March. Just sis and I would try to drive straight through. But then again it is only June, and I will change my mind 500 times yet.:duck:

Happy Planning, mky:cutie:

Mouseaddicts: We loved POR when we went in 2005. I would go back in a heartbeat. Best trip yet for us.

MKY: We are actually thinking about the same thing. To fly 5 people may be a fortune by next year. I am hoping for another 7 for 4 from Disney. That would be amazing and I will book Poly without thinking twice. Love that site you sent me. They talk you right into feeling that it is the only place to stay on-site.

EE22: How are you surviving? I heard this morning that some tornados hit in your neck of the woods. Know you are busy these days but getting nervous for you.

Hello again ........... yes, we've stayed @ POR before & loved it the 1st time. That's why we're going back! MKY - It is the formerly-known-as-Dixie Landings resort. Yes, we need the trundle (3 kids), so we'll be in Alligator Bayou .... but we don't mind the walk to the main pool area. We LOVE the piano player, Bob Jackson, in the lounge area. The kids had a blast with him! DH is hoping we make it down there in time to catch his "show" on the 3rd! :thumbsup2

TP2 - which site did MKY send you? Is it the Poly site? DH loves that site too. We'll be at Poly Labor Day Wknd this year. DH is trying to figure out which bldg he wants to request now .....

EE22 & Tomar - What are your dates in July? Do we overlap? Would love to meet up! Thoughts? :confused3

Candi - I wanna see pics too! I'll send ya a PM ..... :) When do you go in July? I'm thinking you get there on the 13th ...... is that right?

Okay - gotta run for now ..... getting ready to leave the office. Today is DD's b-day (11), so we're doing the dinner out thing & all that jazz. Tomorrow is the POOL PARTY! :dance3: (no, I'm not ready!) Her best friend is spending the night tonight, so wish me patience ..... giggly girls!

Mouseaddicts: MKY sent me Tikimans site. Can't imagine staying anywhere else after looking at it for awhile. We shall see what next year brings. Really to early now to book anything. Have to wait and see what the code gods decide to share with me.:rotfl2:

Have a great weekend ladies. 95 degrees here today, so far our hottest day barely was 80 so we will be sweltering here. Not used to it yet.

Hiya everyone,

Saw the "sex in city" movie today, it was really good, cried x3. :confused3 And came out with a headache.::yes:: What a great time.;) Then we cruised O'hare airport. Sis wants to go up the nite before and stay at airport hilton. The traffic is sooooooooooo bad we probably will. Will talk to max's mom (other sis) and decide then. If we take a very early plane aka 6 / 7 am then it is easier to get there > fair traffic. But we have a 10 am plane and would leave here at 6am, but would be a 3 hour nitemare, for about 30 miles total. Should take maybe 40 min without traffic. Chicago, is crazy with road construction now. Not a good year to visit here. They are saying, we have a good shot at the 2016 Olympic's. I hope not. Would mean nothing but more construction till then.

Well storming here tonight. high 80's too. Some toranado's near by. But we where ok.

Everyone, have a great weekend. mky:cutie:

Good Morning everyone !:surfweb:
well ...summer has hit the Jersey Shore with a vengence this weekend...yesterday it hit 95 and today is supposed to top that ! ...Not complaining here ...I love the summer...and this weather is a practice for our upcoming Florida weather !:beach:

MKY-:cutie: I wanted to see SITC and Indy ...but haven`t yet ...glad you enjoyed the movie :goodvibes

TP2- Im sure you are getting this same weather this weekend ...Stay Cool !:cool1:

EE22- WHOO HOO !! Are you ready yet? !:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
:beach: pixiedust: :tinker: :mickeyjum :goofy: :dumbo: party:

Hi!:cool1:
I'm not sure where May went, but it's long gone. I just finished work Thursday and still had parties on Sat and a retirment on Sunday. I made great progress in packing:banana: Hit Walmart for all the stuff I didn't have. We go to a track meet the Sat before so I am packing two bags at the same time.

We are only allowed one bag per person so one is bathroom stuff and the 4 of us have to get our stuff into 3 bags. I think we can do it. I'm glad I only need shorts and tank tops!!

I have another eye issue going on:eek: Tomar told me about clip on sunglasses in case I cannot wear contacts in the World. Found some yesterday thank goodness. I go to the eye doc this morning and the dentist for a broken tooth. I hate the dentist:headache:

DD passed her permit test and she has taken to the open road. I am letting DH handle that:scared1: I don't need a breakdown before the World. She starts driver's ed the day after we get home. 8 am!!

Summer bball has started for her:worried: never a break that's for sure.

Hope you all are packing away! I'm pulling for a code for you TP2.

Trying to read some this morning. My good buddy who lives in Iowa City drives down a lot. It would be closer for you too. She loves it:lovestruc

I'm a way better driver than you think!!! You're just too scared to go with me and find out!! ::yes::

I've had 15 heart attacks and 12 strokes on the Indy Speedway that's why and that was only in ONE ride:rotfl:

Now I'm going twice as fast on the open road so that would mean you would have 30 heart attacks and 24 strokes in one driving session! :hyper: At least there aren't any metal guide bars to wrench your back on (which is disappointing for me). :thumbsup2

:moped: :moped:

Hiya everyone!

EE22, and Donald, now play nice. Congrat's Donald on your permit!:cool1: I don't think much equals, the first time behind the wheel. Very exciting. And my parents where terrible to drive with too.;)
Kim, Have you had any experience with the mbt's getting wet? Figured with all the rain, you might of run into this. :confused3 Hate to ruin them with that price tag, but worried about the disney downpours. Hope that squeeshy sole handles it ok.

We have decided to go up and stay overnite at O'hare. So been pricing it out. We plan to stay at the hilton at ohare, so we will go up the nite before. :cool1: Then not have to worry about traffic and being late.

Yesterday we lost power at 12pm and out all day till 9:30pm.:confused3 Well I got a bunch of nursing credits completed and mailed them in today. All per flash light.:( And after the stormed moved on > did it get hot without the ac. Lots of tornado action around here yesterday but we got lucky.:thumbsup2 Everyone is ok.

Look out east coasters> we are sending some bad weather. Sorry. I got it from EE22.;)

Happy planning, mky:cutie:

MKY:cutie: : I asked when I bought mine last fall because I was worried about that and the water at Disney. The man told me to lay them on their side and let them dry out :)

I can hardly wait to see THE MOUSE!!!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
I lived through another school year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:
